You darn bet’cha!
Thinking about getting the dogs drunk, locking them up for the night and letting them wake up after a night of drunken wild sex!
Well I do have a pic of Zo and Ree together from when they made Sage and her brothers  :duc (they do that in Europe as "proof" of breeding).

Be careful with that...a lot of men can't perform if they imbibe too much and most women don't remember, which I imagine the men are thankful for! 😂

Hmmmm..about a million years ago I worked occasionally with a vet. A woman brought in two dogs that she wanted to mate but they weren't cooperating. We put the two of 'em in a kennel together and then put another male one kennel over (empty pen between them). It's amazing what a little jealousy will do for their libido, lol.

Day 4

I labeled yesterday’s post as Day 4, but it was Day 3, I fixed it.

This morning the mating dance did not dance. The dogs were rather ho hum, showed a little interest for maybe a nanosecond then it was gone. Bummer.

In high hopes we put Buford and Ozel in the yard this afternoon aaannndddd………. a big fat nothing. Couldn’t even get them to pretend they liked each other. Ozel did her best buzzards bait trick, playing dead. Buford laid down and looked away.

Disappointed, we drowned our sorrows. If we keep this up, we’re gonna need the Alcohol Anonymous 800 hot line number!

Day 4!

This morning I brought Buford to the yard, then Ozel. They walked around, but didn’t show much interest.

Buford struck his handsome hunk pose, Ozel in the background was clearly more interested in a clump of grass. What a blow to the ego!

She crept up in my lap for hugs.

Ridgetop called Eric and discussed what to do. If they took Ozel home, she’d probably go into a raging heat, ready to breed. They have things to do and so do I. I’m going to Corpus Christi Wednesday for middle granddaughter’s school program Wednesday night. Thursday I’m picking up the horse and coming home. Tuesday afternoon I’m gonna be in Tyler for Dr appointment. Take my SIL to PT Monday and Friday. Eric advised leaving Ozel here for 2 more weeks if it was ok with me. OF COURSE IT IS! He said put them together twice a day for 30 minutes. Ok, done! I’ll juggle like a circus clown. We agreed for Ozel to stay, Ridgetop and DH will be back the first week of December. They left and I went to church.

After church I was on my way to Lufkin to grocery shop. I’m rolling over in my mind, my neighbor Chase coming over to feed animals while I was gone to Corpus Christi and it would be better if he didn’t even open the side door on the stock trailer to feed Ozel—I should put out enough food for 2 days for her.

I’M SO STUPID!!!!!!!!

I called Ridgetop, she answered and I shouted, “I’M SO STUPID”!!! She said, “What’s wrong?”
Me-I’m picking up the horse Thursday!
RT-So?
Me-Where’s your dog? In the trailer!

We both busted out laughing, hee-hawing like donkeys.

RT-just take her with you and put her in that front part in the trailer when you pick up the horse.
Me-No, she can ride in the back seat of the truck, it’s already set up for Carson. I’ll just put her in it overnight and she’ll be fine.

We laughed at ourselves for planning to keep her in the trailer, me being gone for 2 days, bringing back the horse and none of us ever connected TAKING the trailer with it being Ozel’s honeymoon suite! Hahahaha!

I swear if I had a brain, I’d take it out and play with it, leave it outside and go in the house. The dogs would pee on it and a possum would eat it.

Try again this afternoon….this lasted a few seconds.

Once again, ignoring each other and Ozel wanted reassurance.

IMG_0243.jpeg

I put her in the not-so-honeymoon-suite and fed the dogs. I spooned Cowboy Stew over all the dogs food. Ozel dug right in and licked the bowl clean!

IMG_0244.jpeg

Watered and fed sheep, talking to Sheba and Buford. Ozel whined. Before I went in, I took her out and walked her around the holding pen. Guess who was VERY interested in her and EXCITED? Yup, Carson. He swooned! He danced! He made gurgling noises in his throat! He whined and bounced with excited adoration! And Ozel? Intrigued! This big handsome guy was over the moon! She postured, wagged her tail, and they did some flirting. I’m seeing evidence that Carson is one of those dogs that is in love for weeks instead the slam-bam one day affair. Buford better watch out!

Yep, if you didn't want them to mate, they'd be all over it and she'd have 12 puppies...lol
