Caleb is intelligent, studying the situation. He will figure out that chasing cat equals time out. He wants to please you, it will take time, patience and repetition.

Yep....and those spots all along his sides.

Yesterday Caleb laid on his back at my feet, and I discovered that he has watercolor/dilute India ink spots on his abdomen!

He got a belly scratch, seemed to enjoy it.

Caleb was approximately 9 months old when I adopted him, which puts his birth in mid February 2025. I picked February 14th for his birthday, easy to remember.

I just checked...Cleo was put down on February 14th.

One spirit leaves, another enters.

I like it. February 14 was mine and BJ's anniversary. His birthday was February 21. We married, I was 40, he was 50, a week later he turned 51. I chose Valentine's Day because it was easy to remember. LOL
You put Cleo down on February 14, Caleb's birthday is February 14. Caleb is your Valentine sweetheart.

Good Boy Report

I gave Caleb a second walk this morning, put him in his day crate, and headed to church. Just three hours later I arrived home and was told that Caleb didn't whine or bark at all!

Well, not as good a day for the integration.

The closest yet, but then Caleb barked, and Debbie ran.

Still have hope that they will eventually get along.

It's just going to take time! He's smart and she has been around dogs. They'll get there!
