This afternoon I brought Caleb outside with me while I tried to figure out a barrier by the chicken coops.

The GSD next door came out at one point, much to Caleb's delight.

While looking for the privacy fence I found a dog tie-out stake in the shed. I set it up so Caleb could run a bit. That's a 50' leash I used, a shorter cable would work better. I used to have one. Hmm.

He's so excited... What a happy pup!

The german shepherd was thinking... this kid is nuts......I'm too old for this.... and Caleb was trying so hard to get him to play....
There's A WHOLE LOT of energy there....

I wonder if the GSD’s owner would be willing to arrange a play date? They look like they would get along. An older dog can teach a younger dog a lot about restraint.

I took Caleb outside with me today when I started working on the shed.

Ooh! Look what I found!

A 20' long leash from my last dog.

And some spare leashes from Tirzah and Cleo.

I tied out Caleb with the 20' leash, gave him his soccer ball, and he was happy, until...

They showed up, AGAIN! My chickens got agitated, AND Caleb went nuts. DS came outside, I said "The dogs are back!", and DS started chasing them, running at them and yelling. They tucked their tails and RAN down the street. Good.

I had DS put Caleb inside so I could follow the dogs. Lost them about half a mile down the road. AC notified again.

Caleb is a wreck, he's barking at everything, nothing. He spooked and panicked twice on his evening inside-the-yard walk. He was pacing earlier, but he's finally relaxed near my feet. Poor pup.

What about ammonia in a super blaster water gun? The kind that shoots 20 feet?

Animal control can put up a trap cage. You might want to do this first.

That would be great, except there are plenty of cats and wild animals around. I don't think there are "dog only" traps.
