I've a former coworker who had a chemo appointment this morning. I filled an 18 egg carton for her, and drove over to the hospital to meet her after.
Caleb came, of course.
He saw ambulances, delivery trucks, and patients on gurneys, wheelchairs, and canes walking in and out. Several people stopped to admire him, and talk about their own dogs. Caleb allowed a couple to pet him, he did really well.
It wore him out.
Her chemo ran long, so we had to wait, which gave Caleb an opportunity to relax in the car.
Then after she was done and we visited for a few minutes I drove over to a pond on the medical campus.
Ducks and geese were interesting, but Caleb just watched.
We walked around the pond.
I stopped on the drive home to pick up a prescription, and Caleb waited quietly in the car.
Once we got home Caleb got a chicken foot in his crate, and is currently taking a nap.
