Bucklings better. :D =D stalls makes it much easier on me. Besides, they get feed without being shoved away in the "don't feel good" condition. Expect them to be fine soon.

Tractor repair screwed up. That's back in sick Bay. :\:( crap. Another bill.

Otherwise, things are great! :old:caf:lol:

The not being able to buy anything over the counter any more.... hugely upsetting.

I am glad you had stuff, i am glad they are better. But wow, frustrating on the tractor.

Caddo (aloha) and Moses barked much of the night. They will do wide patrol after breakfast then station themselves accordingly depending on the flock although they rarely travel right with it the way Smitty and Crockett did. No losses however.

I wonder if there is any hope that Moses will start to wander with the flock?

Or maybe no, since he will follow Caddo's lead?

I am happy for the zero losses.

Me... my left hand is acting up (arthritis) i did too much computer stuff yesterday

That is insanity making and high stress inducing.

So sorry. :hugs
Thank you.

It’s true. Now I’m worried that he’s going to nix my future plans because what if I get hurt again someday? I’m thinking that I will have to cultivate helpers to call upon instead of asking him to fill in for me.

I could hire my teenage chicken sitter to help out, but right now we are trying to minimize expenses because the European River cruise he wants to go on next summer has to be paid in full by tomorrow. (I have historically paid her very well when we go away because good help is hard to find. I think she would be disappointed if I asked her to work for a cut rate.)

But, finding a backup sitter is a good idea. They wouldn’t know how much I pay the other one…

So Hubbs was fit to be tied that I hadn’t voted yet. It had been very busy Monday when he went. I wasn’t looking forward to braving a full parking lot with a new car. I went and there were four people there. Good thing because my hair was a Phyllis Diller special in spite of my best efforts. Very windy. Got home to find the chopped beef I planned to stew had spoiled. Date was good, but it was not. Not even salvageable for pressure cooking. My smart fridge has been acting pretty stupid. Cycling through temps high and low. Meat in drawer spoiled but ice maker frozen solid. I’m making cubes in a mini muffin tin. My depression era mom would tout the virtues of an ice box. Or the old Frigidaire that ran well into its 40’s.

I can't imagine an ice box being any better than a quality cooler with a bunch of ice.

But.... the modern day appliances... they are great until they stop working... then full on palpitations with what the cost to replace or repair.

Moses had a bumpy night. The thunderstorms expected at 5:30a rolled in about an hour early. Sheets of rain. I had set up two places in the barn dogs only. Caddo was lounging in one but poor Moses was outside, bamboozled by the 2 ewes that have picked on him. So bedraggled Moses today. I forgot to mention he also has an 8 x 8 doghouse full of fresh straw. I’ve showed it to him before but he didn’t make the connection. This cements my decision to pull him away from the ewes as lambing approaches. He can overnight next door. He also has a wound on his cheek. Probably pushing his head somewhere to get out. Eyes on that.

Beautiful morning with fog floating over the hill tops, on the ridge looking down...
