I'm in the orange dot, and these are all the fires since this month started.

Damn war zone out here with all these wildfires popping up. Two just started today from last nights thunderstorm around 0100 hrs. This one is 15 miles away at 600 plus acres and headed our way.
We've had smoke around our house all day. Not sure which fire it's coming from. It comes down a gap on the Columbia River above our place.
Stay safe.

We just had 14 acres around our property thinned and mulched any really flammable plants i.e. Yucca's, Junipers add in two fire breaks, a few thousand gallons of water and heavy equipment. We are ready and were years before this.

I figured you had it under control. Fire is just so unpredictable.

At work, coffee brewed, on my second cup.

I have a one-on-one scheduled with my non-clinical boss this afternoon. It's a regular thing that someone in the hierarchy thought should be mandated. Today I'm letting her know that I will be retiring before 2026 rolls around.

Yesterday DS had orientation for his construction courses, community college. I was invited to attend with him. However, walking down a long hallway on concrete floors just to use the restroom brought it into sharper focus for me, I can't do this much longer.

There's no way around it at work, unless I graduate to a wheelchair. I can work in the yard, walk around on dirt, no issues. I could walk around the Swap, no problems, it's the :rantconcrete.

Guess I'd better get signed up for Medicare.
