The dairy group wouldn't be supportive?
:idunno
Sadly we don't believe so. They've made comments when we've said things in the past about not being here forever about not being aloud to leave. Even as far as praying against a family member finding a new home and now these elderly family members are living on the property in a travel trailer. We just do not believe they will be happy for us. Wouldn't be surprised if they don't talk to us after we tell them.

:thDairy son told dairy sister who immediately went and told dairy mom. I suspect just in minutes of hearing she grabbed her phone and started in full of worry. Couldn't tell her fully why I am going out of town. Just not ready for everyone in the world to know yet and not ready to cross the bridge of being disowned. They've recently suffered a loss of a dear friend and with the holidays too I just can't upset them more. She's already worried sick about my safety. Tried playing it off like all will be fine but she's still worrying. She'll worry the entire time I'm gone. If I had anyone else to ask for help with the animals I would have. I'm just hoping she doesn't post it in the newspaper that I'm out of town. 🤦‍♀️:fl

I'm just...speechless. What is wrong with them? They sound emotionally stunted, retarded.

Like an HOA president on steroids.

Good riddance.

I was quite shocked myself when they started saying things. Made me realize we couldn't tell them what we feel like is good news. We are keeping our move as quiet as possible at this point. Most people we know have been happy when previous places fell threw. We quickly stopped telling anyone anything. That was the point when we decided people will find out when we are gone. Everyone has known for years how bad things have gotten for us here and yet they don't want the best for us because we won't be here anymore. Some I truly believe that they don't want us gone because they will have to find someone else to do all their hauling and tractor work for them and they've been unable to find that in the past. It's been a reality check for us for sure. We are "loved" for how useful we are. It doesn't matter how miserable we are here or that at times we've had our lives threatened and no law would help. It's just making it easier to leave but I'm not going to lie it still hurts.

Will they let you bring a chair pad?
Probably but I don't have one. The chairs are well padded, but no arms. Its the sitting that gets to all of us. I'm on the front row with a wood half wall in front, no room to stretch legs. At home, I have a recliner, feet go up! The back row can put their legs out a little under our chairs, but they are a level higher, so not much room for them either. Most trials only last a day or two, murder is unusual here.

I slept until the alarm went off at 5!!! I'm exhausted. Tomorrow morning I'm turning off the alarm, hope I can sleep until 7, but probably not. LOL The judge said last night that the attorneys will probably have their closing argument Monday, then we deliberate and we stay together until we come up with a verdict. Evidently the whole area knows what the trial is, my new neighbors had important paperwork delivered to my house because their mailbox wasn't up yet, it came yesterday. After I finished chores, I took it to them. I aske if he'd meet me outside, cause I didn't want to even get out of the car. we chatted a little bit, he said something about the trial, especially what it was about, but nothing more that that, so I didn't perjure myself. LOL Gossip is alive and well in Trinity county. Everybody knows everybody so for a complete new comer that's been here for a week and a half to have heard about it, the gossip must be going full blast.

Thank you for the well wishes!
Warm out here, 34. Odds are the next few days will melt the snow we have, then Tuesday another long storm system will come in. Already worrying about when to go home next weekend.
Got some good honey to try and sooth my throat, and going to go into work today. Might be interesting to see how much of a voice I really have, but I know I can do it.
Y'all have a lovely day and stay warm.
