☝️Thinking I'm glad that snow & cold is yours, not mine!! All the while sipping hit coffee 😊

Farm day begins in a few. Had filled hay racks last night for today's breakfast for them....it's like "their coffee" . Have a hot wire fix today. Then start tractor -- had a dead battery on charge -- so hopeful it will be useable today. Will never know until I turn the key. Still hoping last parts fixed it.

It's 29 out there, so I'm not in rush mode 🥴 nothing that has a time element today beyond doing it. House is warming up. Cold start. Brrrr...not even outside yet!

Hubs is golfing today. I will finish pulling any nails out of the floor that didn't come up when he removed the underlayment. We'll take out the shower when he gets home.

I need to pack for our trip to Tahoe today, we fly out on Sunday morning. Probably head to the airport about 5:30am. Tomorrow we are picking up hubs dad and taking him to see hubs brother who is handicapped and in a care facility. Then we'll have dinner with dad and head home.

Guess I'd better have my tea and then get to work!

Have a beautiful day all! 💞

Had an appointment at the chiropractor this morning, so after Caleb was walked and fed I secured him in his day crate and headed out. I was told later that there was some noise, but that he settled down.

Ran my errands after my adjustment, gas in the car ($2.50/gal), Dollar General (rope toy), and Aldi's. They had pickled beets, woo hoo!

Now I think I'll work on my Christmas cards for church, I have the members' list and a big box of cards I purchased last year. It's like being in school, they have mailboxes to put the cards in (yes, we're that small!). It's fun, not a chore.

And we're getting flurries, snow without accumulation :yesss:

Well, got my project done. Using one of my favorite tools for pulling nails out of the floor. My back still gets sore, because I do have to bend over a bit and my hands are a little candy a__ed right now, it gave me a blister...lol
Found this at a 2nd hand store a few years ago for 7 bucks. Score! :yesss: Yes, I get excited over useful tools.

Want to know the litmus test to make sure you removed all of the nails, just walk in there barefoot and you'll find any you missed. And if by chance that didn't work 100%, start putting in new flooring!

Good afternoon all!
Sorry for venting last night.
Today's been productive so far. Made the first batch of peanut brittle. Hoping to get 4 done tonight at the least. Planning to try and get packages out tomorrow so that's done. Brittle is all they are waiting on. Usually we bake a lot of goodies and a few other candies but this year it isn't happening. DH woke up early so he decided to stay up and now is out working on the vehicles and trailer in prep for next weeks trip. I've started packing more boxes from the house this afternoon as I am working. If it can go now I'm packing instead of putting it away. Figure that's just steps closer with each chore. Really hope we can make good progress tonight. DH ordered me a plug in lunch box for the trip. It allows me to heat my food while I drive. Got good reviews. I also ordered the window curtains and the back seat air mattress for my rig so I can take naps along the way. Hopefully things are coming together for my trips.
Time to go make another batch of brittle then probably go milk. Trying to stock up on cream for me to take and DH to have plenty while I'm gone. Trying to think of all our needs and the animals needs so there's no worries while I'm gone. DH will have enough to do with the extra work. Want to make it as easy on him as possible.
Y'all have a great evening!
:hugs
