Good morning everyone :celebrate it's coffee time!

Today will be everyone's "concern" about the unknown -- the dastardly snow storm that's seemingly hitting everyone! Wow. A doozy predicted. The suggestions of way more, snow? Ice? Sleet? than any want are upsetting. How much, how long, power out, locations closed down, are we prepared???? Yeah it's totally annoying! 😖

It's still prepare as you can, help as you can, pray, then wait and see 😳🥶❄️🥶 Reading preparedness of others helps me check for things I may not have thought about. Many of us have a few days to do last minute things -- don't waste it. Do them. Got a family member, neighbor or friend who might "need" something? Reach out. 🥰

My area rarely gets the amount of snow predicted -- if it happens, 6" shuts us down. Impact lasts well beyond the actual event. Consider your own locations road clearing abilities.

Finishing second cup of coffee. I'm tired. I have to go to Lufkin today to pick up grocery orders for SIL, I got her carton of cigarettes yesterday. I forgot to get evaporated milk for the homemade lamb formula yesterday, so will pick it up today. It's raining, a drizzle with sudden bursts of rain. I dont want to go anywhere or do anything. But I have to get the day started by going out in the rain to feed. I so wish I had a barn to have animals and feed tubs out of the weather, I have to dump water out of feed tubs and quickly feed them before more rain falls. Sheep are snugged down in their shelters, Buford and Sheba too. And I have the 2 orphans to take bottles to. I'm really giving myself a pep talk here........ Whine, piss and moan.

This message may cut off Hubbs is fooling with internet. Prepping for weather. Keeping water thawed is the biggest problem. We generally get temps like this once or twice a winter so I haven’t resorted to tub heaters. Rethinking that now. Barn has no power. Or has it but no one knows where it is. Running a cord from the house through the puppy zone ??? I could but Vala would need heavy duty policing. Rethinking that. Tarping the barn door as there is no door. Two 40 gallon water bunks and a 90 gallon refill bunk that hopefully won’t freeze solid. Water is a pig to manage in this weather. At the old place I could hook up a hose to an inside sink and run water as I needed it. Miss that. (Pool noodle custom cut kept the window from leaking warm air while hose was in place). Also the house was higher than the bunks so gravity drained the hose. Nostalgia be gone dang it. Off to look at tub heaters/circulators.

Good morning!
Hubs surprised me for our upcoming anniversary, 41 years. He wants to go someplace warm, so we're taking a week and flying to Florida on the 3rd, our anniversary is the 2nd, but the flights were cheaper after that date. I figured with the remodel we'd go somewhere more local, have a nice dinner, stay the night. We'll try to find an inexpensive fishing charter, that's always a lot of fun and we booked a night at a dinner theater he found, to watch Fiddler on the Roof. Should be a relaxing trip. We'll be in the Fort Myers area, enjoying the Gulf of America...lol We haven't been in that area since Ian hit, they are still rebuilding.

Then back home, put our noses to the grindstone and finish the remodel.

Have a beautiful day!💗
