I finally surfed X for a bit, then wound up reading interesting studies on Substack.

I was canning last night, so now have 14 pints of chicken breast covering a counter top. I'll leave it for about a week...recheck seals, then to pantry. Caught a sale I couldn't refuse and we all know grocery prices are going up. Garden will be important this year. So many empty canning jars to fill.

Usual coffee, chores, then a work day. I really need to walk around and clean up whatever has blown in. Had a feed bag full of feed bags for the dump -- now they're against a southern fence line, escapees! A couple made it to the empty field next door it's trash day, maybe I'll have time to rebag.

Better get moving -- that list is calling me.

Well, basically blizzard conditions here. Don't worry it's warm enough that I still geniusly went outside with shorts and a hoodie on.
Migraine on the treadmill this morning... might be an interesting day.
Need to get pictures and share them here, at one week with chicks in the classroom and really loving it so far!
Should probably get my coat and prepare for the lovely walk to work.

I was wide awake last night, I saw 3 AM. Slept until 7, let dogs and sheep out on the field and fed Max. Today is the meeting of the Trinity county Republican ladies. A bunch of old ladies get together every month and have snacks, coffee, usually a speaker and so on. There is a local woman that keeps running for office in the Senate and they totally support her. She never wins. She is like a rock star to this group, I find it hilarious.

That's coming this way. Was 63°F yesterday, will be -2°F on Thursday. We be swinging both ways. Violently. With a baseball bat.

Lots of wind yesterday afternoon and night. Heavy wind. We haven't had much worse. Two shade tarps down and goodness knows what all will need help. Got just under an inch of rain - more forecast for tonight with wind. Going to be a lot of cleanup fixup in the coming days. BUT I slept through the lightning and thunderstorm at 3am!! YAY for me!
