I slept till 8. Sophie caterwauled all night but I couldn’t wake up enough to let her in. Rainy today and it looks like summer is on the way out. Tired of hot-tumn

Hubs has been looking for a camper shell for his Ram. Its a specific one to fit his '19 Laramie. Well, he found a used on FB marketplace in Auburn WA. So off we go this morning. Three hour drive.

I saw a sign on I5 northbound that said Fife!! Ridge!! Now I know where Fife is!!!

btw: the ARE shell was perfect and the color even matched great too!

up early, planning my day & enjoying fresh coffee. Here we are, almost the end of another week. The possible scattereds are looking to be heading off the coast - rather than to the farm here. Fine with me because I want to mow & rake this weekend. Dry works much better for that!

Thinking I'll work a long day today, then it will leave just half a day tomorrow. Next week I've only got 2 half days of jobs....so hoping to get some winter prep going on outside here. Weather is looking good. Need to seriously work garden area to be prepped for spring planting with just some light work then. Plus some overseeding in a couple pastures to give a touch of green for winter graze. Wheat, barley, turnip...both of those will get done while disc is on, saves the dreaded attachment changes.

Chicken coop needs some repair. Will check fences in a couple pastures not in use now. Yeah, I've got several days (weeks ) of "get ready for winter". Happens every year. My job work will slack to only 1 or 2 days a week soon, until late Feb.

I’ve been awake long enough to unload the dishwasher and make coffee. On my first cup. Woke up at 3 AM to pouring hard rain. Went back to sleep. Woke up at 6:30 to still pouring hard rain. It’s slacked off now, should be gone by noon. There’s a place on my road, I had a hard time getting through it yesterday evening after just a little rain. I’ll probably have to wait for a few days of sunshine before I can come and go. Need to call the county road commissioner. This ought to really revive the grass!

No coffee yet. Fen was really sweet when he woke me up for his breakfast. Usually he’ll jump right on me if I’m in bed, but this morning he was careful not to step on me and was relying on kisses

The heavy rain has passed, I just went and let the Anatolians out on the field. Rain gauge showed 2 1/2” of rain and it’s still lightly raining. Sheep are ok, wet, but ok. Desperately needed this rain!

It's all by the coffee pot (including tea bags and Hot Cocoa packets) so brew a cup or make a glass of Iced Coffee. It's 60 and foggy (slowly lifting though) this morning.
After FH left for work this AM I laid down on the couch to relax my back and neck while watching TV and fell back asleep which I just got up about an hour ago.
