Coffee anyone ?

Thanks for the coffee. Still flooding here. Rained all night. Mother Nature is supposed to have her last fling of this storm system Thursday morning. It makes doing anything outdoors a lot harder but not as hard as ice, snow and cold. So I have to be grateful for that. I will look at the rain gauge this morning.

Yesterday was amazing! It was like Fen flipped a switch and went from fighting everything I ever had to teach him to suddenly becoming the perfectly behaved service dog. Ever since Boone came, Fen has been a different dog. He’s no longer frustrated, he’s more relaxed, happier, more reliable, better behaved. The only downside is Boone’s needle sharp teeth got Fen in the ear and cheek last night while playing and Fen cried then went and hid himself in back of the crate, which broke my heart. I think there may be less wrestling and more games of tag and tug in their future.
Anyhow, Fen remained at my side without the usual frantic pulling, quietly went under the table and laid down without begging, vocalizing, attempting to watch the activity in the restaurant or getting bored. He even handed me back his leash I fumbled when leaving.
He is surprisingly 60 lb, though I would like to take off a couple lb as I can’t feel his ribs very easily.
Boone did surprisingly well on-leash and weighs an astonishing 43 lb at 12 weeks old. He is a beast and his wLk is LOUD 😂

Maybe Fen has been lonely and just needed a buddy.
I think that is a lot of it. Before coming here, he spent a month playing hard every day with his Uncle Howie. He has desperately wanted to play with the ranch dogs but they are in packs and attack him instead. He has become fearful, which is heartbreaking

Just need to put corner braces up, but over all, all posts are driven in this frozen ground out here. Going to get fence going up today for the dog. Will be about 12 x 12 feet starter pen for him and he will graduate to 7,000 square foot pen around June, hopefully sooner. Temperatures hitting 40°F so it's been really warm to get things done.

Progress!

I'm a little sore from pounding them in by
if a brawny guy like you can be sore, by golly, this ole lady won't worry about complaining from pounding posts!! 🤣🤣. Thank you!! I've got some of that work coming up. My ground isn't frozen or rock but, well just call that a female advantage. 👍😁

I didn't mention what post I was pounding to make me sore

Quiet morning here!
I was up at 5:20, slight complaining session and then off to the gym. Class afterwards as it is now, would love to fold laundry and continue unpacking after class, then gotta ride my boy and run tonight.
Y’all have a blessed day!
