Breezy today, upper 70’s. Photos of Racka cross lambs posted on We Hava Racka. Twister’s make over happens in about 6 weeks. I’m postponing rebreeding until I see how the horns look. Meanwhile I’m looking for more Rackas, not having much luck. (Keep finding me ).

It's stuck in drain mode. I unplugged it to get it to stop. As soon as it has power again, it starts trying to drain... but it's long since emptied the tub.
I've put it through the reset cycle several times & it SEEMS to work, but then as soon as I turn the dial back to select a wash, it starts'draining' again.
Probably a computer problem. They all have motherboards now.

Hunting ranches in Texas have Racka.

Tell me when you’re going and I’ll meet you there!

Twister came through Huntsville to a guy down the road. He bred him to his ewes but we lost contact. If we decide we shouldn’t keep him we’ll probably take him to Huntsville. Obviously the fleece maintenance and the shallow gene pool are figuring into our decision. If I was ten years younger I’d be all over it.

Huntsville is an hour from me. If y’all go, be sure and let me know. I’ve never been to the exotic sale and what better reason than to meet you? 🤪

There is a huge exotic animal auction in MO... Lolli Bros... DS has been there when he had some other breeds of sheep... Mouflon... and got one of his "lines" of the Dall sheep from there. There used to be a guy here, friend originally from Conn... that had Fallow deer.... grandfathered in before VA would not allow them to be brought in... 10 ft fences to keep the white tail out, so no breeding, disease trading and all that... and they went out there a couple of times...

For some animals, there are more of them on exotic game ranches than out in the wild. Some people think they are terrible but it is a form of preservation of that animal. Bleeding heart types think ranchers should spend all that money on the animals, feed and care for them, for nothing. That’s not how it works, there has to be a financial benefit. I’ve never heard of a bleeding heart type write a rancher a large generous donation check.

There was a game ranch near where I used to live. I regularly saw zebra, blackbuck, impalas and oryx. I sent a picture of me being photobombed by two wildebeest (I have yet to meet a bovine type that doesn’t like carrots) to my brother captioned Dang my neighbor has funny cows. There were also blacked out pastures, I always wondered what was in those. I never considered approaching them about rams because they looked to be a high dollar, foreign exotics outfit. Had a heck of a lodge.
