I had caught a mouse couple days ago. Took trap out & released the bar for mouse to drop. Cats just watched. Four hens ran over, one grabbed said mouse and ran, others in chase. It was torn apart and shared. Hens can be vicious!!

Coffee is ready. I need to borrow your hens! I’ve trapped 3 mice in my utility room. I hate those darned things. I’ve thrown rat poison under the house and in storage buildings. I’m going to start setting traps. Peanut butter seems to be irresistible.

Peanut butter with a smidgeon of a granola bar/oatmeal piece... makes them work at it a little so springs the trap quicker... but I use peanut butter most of all the time...

Going to have a "come to Jesus" meeting with boss man this morning, third place posting my wages for simpler jobs. I bought enough materials yesterday to build a service bed for my truck, was going to build it at the shop. Now I think I'm going to bring it home with some other tools. Want to complain about my $34 an hour when I can do schit like this, nope...

Coffee is ready. Woke up at 3:40. I have a friend that likes to send me Reels from Facebook. At all kinds of hours, does he ever sleep? I do until the phone dings, sometimes I don’t wake up, sometimes I do. Eh. This morning’s reel was about Alzheimer’s, the brain being 75% cholesterol, margarine being one molecule away from being plastic, vegetable oil being bad for you, animal fats being the natural substance good for you. I guess my brain will be ok, don’t use margarine or vegetable oil. But it wasn’t important at 3-something in the morning.

Working today. Last long one for a while looks like I may only work 2 short days next week. Planning to get seed in starter trays -- all necessary is here to do it. And do a dump run for stuff. There's that shed to rebuild from storm 2 wks ago, still waiting It'll be a busy week but, farm work. Good.

Better get chores done and myself on the road. Took yesterday off and ran all chores, feed runs, etc. Having a "gentle" wakeup this morn

Up late, 7 something. Made coffee, made list to do. Fed outside cats, wind was COLD. I decided to forego yard work for errands this morning. Harbor Freight had pond pumps at more than half off. I needed one, got a spare. Aldi's had ground beef (80/20) half price, picked up 3 plus one for a coworker. Stopped at Ace Hardware, looking for empty chain buckets (perfect nesting boxes!) but none were empty. Manager gave me his card, said to call in a week to check.

Rained last night, barrels overfull. I need to set up something better.

There are some nice features on smart phones...

In my settings I have a do not disturb feature. I set it to start at 9:30pm and last until 9 am.

I can chose what is still heard when the do not disturb is on.

So, I still get texts and calls from close family, and all alarms.

It is VERY nice!
