On my last day of vacation. Thought I would have more time for the forum but I haven’t. That’s a good thing- means I’ve been busy with family. 
I did manage to post some photos to my journal today. Plane home tomorrow, and then catch-up catch-up catch-up!

I got 10 chickens on ice. I took a shower, looked like a participant in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, not counting getting sh!t at and hit. Just ate a half of a ribeye I cooked last night. Gonna try to get those 10 in the freezer. 23 more to go.

Sticker Shock!!!
Decided to go by the meat counter at the grocery store. I almost fell over!!! Looked at a lot of other things and thought holy moly the prices are huge on practically everything. DH has been doing the grocery shopping lately so I haven't actually seen prices in person.

That's good, but still eek, another trip to the post office down you're road. Your road makes mine look like a freeway.
I was at the farmers' market last Saturday. Organic meat farm had a special on lamb, stewing meat, bone in. I decided to give it a try, $6/lb.She said it's from the neck.
What do you think, slow cooker?

Got out of bed about 6:30, wow. Brewed coffee, fed critters, started planning my day. I am expecting my second elderberry will be delivered this weekend, so I dug a hole, added peat moss and some older chicken bedding 
. Then I made a trip to Lowe's for concrete blocks so I can finish the rain barrels' setup. I also needed two chain link fence hangers for the driveway gates. It was a very frustrating experience, website wasn't working so I couldn't ask for curbside service (heavy blocks). No one seemed to know what they were doing, but then Baily showed up and made everything work. I gave her a fantastic review.
