Shearing day tomorrow or is it? There may have been a miscommunication. Working on that now. Twister is sulking in a stall, the ewes are bewildered and the LGDs are getting a day off. The unpacked tent needed at Hubbs’s golf tournament next weekend seems to have a life of its own and no matter where he stows it it’s in the way. Moving here gave us about twice the house but somehow half the room. Ugh. Some days there isn’t enough caffeine.
Ah yes golf clubs and golf tournaments.

A couple was having dinner one evening when the husband reached across the table, took his wife's hand and said; soon we will be married 30 years, and there is something I have to know.
In all those 30 years have you ever been unfaithful to me?

She replied, well dear, I have to be honest with you. Yes I have been unfaithful to you three times during these 30 years, but always for a good reason.
He was obviously hurt by his wife's confession, but said "I never suspected. Can you tell me what you mean by "good reasons"?

She said, the very first time was shortly after we married and we were about to lose our little house cause we couldn't pay the mortgage. Do you remember that one evening I went to see the banker and the next day he notified you the loan would be extended? Well I did what I had to do.

He remembered the visit to the banker and said I can forgive you for that. You saved our home, but what about the second time?

She answered, and do you remember you were so sick, but didn't have the money to pay for the heart surgery you needed? Well I went to see your doctor one night and, if you recall, he did the surgery at no charge, well I did what I had to do.

He said he did recall that and you did it to save my life so of course I can forgive you for that. Now tell me about the third time?

Alright she said, so do you remember when you ran for president of the golf club and you needed 73 more votes?

8:30....in to change clothes & get 2nd cuppa.

DS & I corraled entire herd, put trailer in place, set up a chute (love my portable panels!) and removed those not going....38 ish. Moved chute slightly, opened trailer and loaded 9 bucklings!! I'm letting the settle with some hay until I have my needed coffee!!!!! Maybe 15 min....then off to u load at auction. 😁 Two were youngish but nice, so should sell well. I can't keep them all! 😑 Half are full Boer, others 1/2 & 3/4. Hope there are good buyers. 9 off my feed, pasture & nerves. 🤣

Gotta get!!

Shearing gal was sick so we will reschedule. Restarted water and hay with Twister. He wasn’t gulping and grabbing but definitely interested. I’ll step things up gradually and turn him out this evening. Hopefully little squabbling with the other yearling ram who thinks he’s ready to throw down. Dang I really wanted to get him done as 90 degree temps start next week but it is what it is. Hubbs and I could catch him and clipper (not shear) but if you think he looks funny now

70 already at 7 :ep going to 96 -- warmer than at @Weldman's today (going to try and do a 'return to sender' on it ;).
Ranch compost and waste management clinic today. Might be interesting.

Did well overnight, no cramps, SO thankful!

Coffee and errands this morning: Publix, farmers' market, craft show next to it. Came home with a rooster flag, a couple crocheted animals for the grands (Bluey and Bingo!), and two Pepperidge Farms lemon cakes for upcoming birthdays.

Now I am headed outside, to finish the rain barrels...before the rain forecast for the next few days, and the heat arriving at the end of the week.
