Coffee is ready. Going to Houston this morning. My sister in law has a doctor appointment.

Light misty rains right now. Temps at normal 90*, terrible humidity, obviously. This is all week. 
Could be so much worse. Chantal core went inland 75-100 miles west of me. 
News says my area has 3 response team groups in TX. Mercy chefs, Rapid Water response, Operation Blessings -- with equipment, food, supplies and trained personnel, to assist with the flood disasters. Horrific situation.
Today, back to work. Couple days of light jobs.

We got rain, some wind. I didn't notice any obvious damage last night before dark. Silas kept crowing, yesterday afternoon. I investigated, everything appeared fine, maybe he was upset over the storm?

Getting ready for day 2 of work. My schedule is 7am -3:30pm so I can attended the morning shift turnover meeting. That is going to take some getting used to after 5 months of getting to sleep in. And Dominic had blood sugar issues at 1am so I’m short on sleep. Guess I get to see if work had drinkable coffee.

Going to be 100°F today and I'm still finding hot spots from the wildfire. Supposed to check in with where I turn wrenches at cause I haven't been there in a week out of respect, but I might have to take a rain check on that with current events.
