I didn't mow yesterday, either, just puttered around the coops and gardens, yet my clothes were literally soaked, it's that bad. Heat advisory/warning had been issued, duh . The pond water level had dropped, so I topped it off, and watered the potted annuals. The Joe Pye weed is drinking the saucer dry daily.

The OEGB chicks still haven't roosted, they will eventually.

I am going to try to mow a little after I get home tonight.

Slept in this morning - sort of. Planned to get moving at 5am (I can usually wake up at the time I "plan") but this morning my internal alarm didn't go off, instead little Miss Sage gently gave me a little kiss at 5:45. What a sweet pup.
Just check the barn cams and no new lambs yet. My guess is a week-ish before the next one. The new lamb as of yesterday (about 3 days old) gained 1.4 lbs.

Coffee is ready. It’s only 94% humidity! High of 95 today. I didn’t make it to mowing goat weed yesterday, probably won’t today either. Going to sort out some ewes for Rocky and turn Little Ringo out with ewes in the front field. I’ll have to carry a hoe handle after I turn Little Ringo out, he’s a jerk. .

I worked yesterday -- DS mowed yard. I worked today. Same tomorrow. Same old, same old. Chores in evening. We're having a cool down this week lower mid 80s plus low humidity. A blessing.

My new job is going okay. I'm working on my first big project, replacing the air compressors. The Italian engineers had ambient conditions listed as 104F and 60% humidity in Pasadena, TX. I wonder if that is why the compressor never worked well?

On the project scope I listed the true ambient conditions:

Came home, fed chickens some strawberry bits and a can of tuna, then mowed most of the backyard. The first bag of clippings was split between the coops ("ooh! ooh!") and most of the second bag was dumped on a fallow raised bed.

I'm hoping to catch up on the mowing before the weekend...

Coffee is ready. My dishwasher died last night. Gonna have to unload it, wash dishes by hand. I hate washing dishes. I’d much rather hide them in the dishwasher and run it when it gets full. Might be awhile before I get a new one, just put new tires on the car, Discount Tire, 6 months same as cash. Old tires were getting slick. And I’m gonna need a new washing machine too. Got a new AC in the spring, I guess it’s time for appliances to die.
