You all have accomplished so much today. I'm almost afraid to share what we did. Today was a leisure day. My husband is an avid golfer, as for me, I try...lol We played in a 4 person scramble and took 3rd. It's a fundraiser for our local senior center. The weather was perfect. So thankful we don't have the humidity you all deal with. Temps will be ticking up again.

Good morning...sipping first cup while cleaning out my email inbox...so much junk.
:caf

Need to make bread today, dreading the oven heat. But it's so good, and with none of the additives from the store-bought loaves. I have been using a combination of rye and bread flour. Yummy.

Last night Rahab abandoned the brooder box, took her chicks into a nest box. I've no idea why, but...okay.

Chick on the right says "boy!" to my eyes...

All tucked in...

I’m up on second cup of coffee. Slept in recliner again holding the lamb, now named Lucky, all night. I posted more details in my 2025 lambing thread. Went to Fort Worth and back yesterday, 200 miles away. Had to stop several times coming and going to feed Lucky. Another night of ruptured sleep.

Church, then home to feed Lucky, take him with me to Lufkin to pick up 2 grocery orders for my sister in law. Her leg stump is healed up now and she will be making an appointment for fitting a prosthesis.

@Blue Sky i hope you get the hay made and up! I’m sorry about your ram, that sucks. Yeah I know the adage, “If you have Livestock, you get Dead stock. Doesn’t make it any easier.

For us winter is right around the corner, got 30 days to get what I can done and prepare to hunker down for it. It might come roaring in or it might tease us. Highs in mid 90's today then we start the plunge of 80's and by September the 70's or lower.

I was wondering where you'd been, figured you were busy with something important.
