Two of the chicks were perched below.

They'll "get it", eventually.

Things change 🤣 phone call from friend, so went for those figs. Another 14 trays in the dehydrators. Still enough for about 4 more. On hold! They're the least ripe & will be fully ready by morning, when I'll need to be picking next door. Told friend, pick no more for me 😍. Yeah, they got more eggs, too.

Made a feed run while only 2 miles from a store. Saves tomorrow time, saves gas. Outside is stifling!

Got a text, my sister-in-law's funeral is Monday, in Connecticut. I'll be driving 700 miles, leaving Saturday morning. I'm not doing it in one day.

Done (reservations):
□ Car rental
□ Hotel Sat.
□ Motel Sun - Tue

I've not booked the hotel on the way home in case I stay an extra day.

I'm going solo, prayers would be appreciated.

Safe travels - take your time and make extra stops even when you want to push through. I've done coast to coast solo - but I at least had a motorhome (traveling everything you need in one).
Thank you.

My dad lived in an RV after he retired, drove all over the US for almost 30 years, always solo.
