Morning all. No joy locating Hubb’s missing truck fob. And he got a partial rant. Bad me. It was so firmly drummed into my head as a child to put crucial things in secure places consistently that not doing so is just incomprehensible. Meh. Any opinions about spays? I have had rotties spayed before first heat and I’m leaning toward that with Vala. One neighbor has two uncut male dogs and one of them is an experienced fighter. They are both free range which is fine, I never see them but if she tips over I’ll bet I do. Plus will my boys (all fixed) fight each other in spite of that? I’ll bet there’s a book or article they haven’t read We’ll have a good day all. I’m off to retrace Hubb’s steps

Coffee is ready. Tired. Got up yesterday at 3:30 AM, was gone by 4:30. My headlight went dark before I was done doing chores so I used feeble light from cell phone. Need to plug it in and recharge. Got to @Ridgetop house some 3 1/2 hours later. We went to Prairie Day and had a table set up. We spread sheep brochures and talked sheep with anyone that would listen. It was for the general public, educating them on how prairie ecology works. I got home yesterday evening, fed, watered, and stumbled in the house at 7:30 PM. Church this morning, my last children’s class for the quarter. Preacher’s wife will teach for the next quarter. We take turns.

@Baymule how was the turnout at the prairie Day event?
I'm fine with that hurricane veering off the coast more. Showing a couple inches of rain expected in the Thur thru Sat timeframe, compliments of said storm. Changes expected

Few plans for today...still wet out, hampers some work. Need to mow a couple fields, grass too wet.

The turn out was good, busy all day. One family saw the signs out on the highway and came. They had 8 children, stair stepped from teenagers down to a baby in a stroller. Those kids ran wild, very well behaved, just having a good time.

My DS is still sick. His cough is worse, and the Rx suppressant is worthless, so as soon as it was light enough to drive I went to the despised W store. I bought him a Neti pot, and dextromethorphan (it's a dry cough). I also bought Benydryl, as the cough seems to be triggered by PND. The cough is so bad he's not sleeping, and pulling muscles to boot.

Hot toddy time. Cough syrup used to have alcohol in it, now it doesn’t. Worthless if you ask me. I like Kahlua and will sip on about 1/4 cup of it. Cough is over and I can go to sleep. That terrible bad ol’ alcohol does the trick.

Unfortunately DS can't drink alcohol anymore, one drink is too many, 1000 not enough. He quit cold turkey about 15 years ago, neither of us want to go back.

He's been trying all the home remedies, honey, hot fluids, hot showers. No relief. He'll be calling the doctor tomorrow.

He's on a Z pack, which never works for him so it's not working now, and some Rx cough suppressant, which also doesn't work.

I couldn't find Vicks 44, so I got what was just dextromethorphan, no Tylenol.

He's got to get assertive, push back with the doctor, himself. Mom won't be here forever.
