I expect the boys to arrive by plane, train, automobile and parachute. On the bright side since Covid destroyed my sense of smell I won’t notice eau d’ bxtch so much. May clear an aisle at Walmart if I don’t change clothes though.

If you don’t change clothes, you’ll have every WalMartian following you around.

Got a phone call from my daughter. One of their friends who traveled with them has Covid. They were all in my pickup, but only for about 20 minutes.
I don't worry about Covid, I've had it 3 times. It's here to stay, like the flu and colds. But, we're heading out on Monday for an end of season golf trip and a boat ride on Lake Chelan. Hopefully none of us will get it.

Today, we will be mowing and doing beekeeping chores.

It’s dry as a bone in a desert here. I’ll bet when it finally does rain, we get a deluge of 5-6”. We will go from dust season to mud season. Grass is turning brown, definitely not growing.

We got anoth 1/2" of rain yesterday, about an inch, total. I'll take it. Already the gardens look perked up.

Morning all. Pretty much all I have as I peruse my to do list. Dry here for the next several days. The ramling I’ve been treating for worms is slowly improving. Haven’t seen my hen again. Smitty and Crockett have been gone a year. I miss them but I have the others and I wouldn’t have met the Maremmas. Have a great day everyone.

That's how it was for me too. That's what Covid is, a cold. But, evil people had to mutate it. Thank goodness it followed true and became less dangerous as it continued to mutate.

Getting ready to head out today. Stepped outside, didn't smell any smoke, which was nice. The fire is actually south of Chelan, so I'm hoping the smoke won't be too bad up there. The winds are going to pick up a bit tomorrow, so that's never a good thing when fire is involved. But they're only showing 10-15. Daytime temps in the 60's. Winter is coming!

Got to finish a little laundry and a few chores, then we're on the road again.

Oh yes and I need my tea...lol

To bed late, slept late and chores late. doesn't matter, I'm home all week. During chores, once again a bottle babe, half grown doeling barged into my feeding prep. She was a triplet, smallest, full boer and a lovely girl -- except for this becoming this spoiled -- she assumes "entitled" -- annoyance. Well fed and a real "Karen". This morn, looking at nice lions, I began thinking she might be freezer fill! It's a challenge & she's pushy....not in a harmful way, annoyingly so. Wow! Not even feeling regret over the thought

Not raining, kinda drying off -- may get my list worked.

Made Italian S Cookies and ~experimented by adding malted milk powder and chocolate powder (yeah I'm a malted milk ball candy junkie) -- they turned out ....... ohhhh yum .

Surprise! 4 pullet eggs today . 4 girls in there but not sure how many laid. All are red combed & same age, so all will be laying soon. Nice & just in time. These are BOs I bought this summer.

Fresh eggs for winter

8 more hatched here should begin Nov/Dec. And old gals will be over molt...might lay a couple here & there. I've got to learn to like eating eggs. . That's todays excitement.
