Today was frantic at the food bank. We had a line around the corner, onto Main Street from 1:15 (we open at 1:30) to 4:00 (we close at 3:15, but there were still cars). The fb did 91 clients today. The highest ever. And my three person team was down one, since the Realtor had to quit cus her biz is off the charts (buying and selling)

Just my afternoon shift prob brought in about 500 lbs. Even more in the morning shift. We could hardly move around inside the tiny building.

And I turned away folks who tried to sign up. The Board and Director made the decision that this food bank can only support the locals in five suburbs. No more Vancouver folks. And those who were already clients from Vancouver were told that they can be served this month and then again in December, but in January they would have to seek out one of the 5 or 6 food banks in Vancouver directly.

I'm going in at 6 a.m. to start to help sort and repack so that it can go to the off storage unit.

My face is flaming hot right now (it was raining all day and its in the 50's) and my brain and heart are tired.

OH, I love this little town of Battle Ground!! Sooooooo much food donations and support. I accepted a check for $1000 from a resident and about fainted when I saw this old man's amount on his check.

So...this morning I had my final phone interview with the local Social Security office. Since I am a widow I'm applying for my DH's much better benefits. However, my marriage license wasn't in in their system, though it was submitted in person at the same time as my bank information and my Medicare B application, which ARE in the system. And which were returned to me by mail, with a copy of my marriage certificate, NOT the original.

They also had mailed to me confirmation of the Medicare B application.

I am not amused. Lady was apologetic. I am bringing over their initialed copy later today, thankfully their office is only four miles away.

Someone really dropped the ball.

Another example of B S stupidity... and incompetence..... SO glad that the office is close to you....

I hate all this bureaucratic BS......
And if the SS clerks lost the original then it's going to cost me 💰💰💰 for a new notarized copy, from Connecticut. It's not cheap, they price gouge.

Sounds crazy @murphysranch

Warm 34 when I got up today. Just another typical day, going to trivia with friends tonight, I kinda love how empty town is currently.
When the snow flies here and sticks for a week this place goes dead silent out here. It is so beautiful as not a person is stirring especially when it drops to below zero, except for me of course. It stays that way till May

Working 7 days a week now trying to shove in what I can before fighting snow. Cloudy and possible rain today.

Good morning everyone!

Having a cup of tea at the hotel. Then we'll be heading out. Stopping at a couple of local discount tile stores to see if they have anything we might like to use in our bathroom remodel. We've purchased a lot of product from both places over the years. I'm ready to get started on this project, so we can get it finished...lol

Also need to pick up some layer crumbles. We mostly use the scratch we buy, by the ton, but I like to give them some crumbles too.

Looks like it will rain all day today.

Have a beautiful day all! 💞
