Description from Amazon:
An entertaining collection from the author's syndicated column, The Back Forty. It's all here: the sheep killed by statistics, how to load pigs without getting dirty, reviving a drunken fly, and other stories gleaned from the years of hard living and soft barnlots that lead to such a volume. This book is fun reading, even if you haven't felt that hot breath from the back seat.
Looks great!
It looks so great I immediately went online and found a copy on eBay! 😂 Arrived in last night’s mail. Can’t wait to read it!

(I still haven’t read the Natural Sheep Care book that you influencers got me to buy. But I did read the one about making hay to feed the sheep the coyotes eat.)

My nephew in Montana sent me that one a few years ago - great book. He knows/knew the author? family? I forget the connection.

@fuzzi -- I agree with everyone else (yeah of course), and like @Baymule said call first thing in the morning, tell them you'll get him Tuesday - and let them know you have an appointment that you can not change. Then call in sick on Tuesday and go get him :) .
But what the heck -- you only have days left, call in sick tomorrow!! (polishing my enabler medal).

Whew! What a difference a few minutes makes. I have a theory that weather of all sorts sometimes does an end run around the DFW area and sprints to my neck of the woods hours earlier than forecasted. Started the morning at 63, 56 now and I suspect headed down all day. Low of 28- ouch. Finishing up winterizing, watering fruit trees and watching the sheep run from one acorn patch to another. Changing into jeans earlier than I thought :p

Good morning everyone. I get to play today... after chores of course. Golf at 10:45. I haven't swung a club in a couple of weeks. I'm sure frustration will rear it's ugly head 🤣 I keep trying to get my game back after losing it due to injury. The frustration is worth it, if it means spending the day with hubs doing something he loves. I love watching him play.

Still praying about that beautiful boy @fuzzi . :hugs

Time for 🫖☕🍯
Have a lovely day all!💗

My friend who was involved in rescue is trying to find someone to pull the dog as a rescue, then keep him safe for two weeks.
:fl

I can't call out sick on Monday, my nice boss has a mandatory committee meeting that I have to attend, it's crucial. However I could leave work early on Tuesday to go over to the shelter...but my option if I get him is still confining him to a crate 10 hours daily while I am at work.

Stay tuned.

I hope your friend can come through for you! 💗 He can survive a kennel for 2 weeks, if it means he gets to spend the rest of his life with you. In reality, won't it only be less than 10 days.

Good morning for us and evening/night for normal folks. We are on nights so it's time for the first cup of coffee for the "day". Another reason we are looking forward to our move. Getting on a normal people schedule is going to be heavenly. It's been a long time.
Hope y'all had a great day and a blessed evening/night!
