Are y'all tired of the continuing dog saga yet?


I found a foster who will keep the dog until Thanksgiving, but I have to adopt him, first.

I'll be calling the shelter first thing tomorrow, have a specific person to ask for, to see if they will hold him til Tuesday.

That's so exciting! I'm praying they will be willing to hold him!

Good morning for us and evening/night for normal folks. We are on nights so it's time for the first cup of coffee for the "day". Another reason we are looking forward to our move. Getting on a normal people schedule is going to be heavenly. It's been a long time.

I'm looking forward to no longer being on it. I'm on more of a flexible night's schedule than my better half is. We've forgotten what it's like to have a life. It's been a very long time of horrible schedules. Going to be a huge adjustment to get onto normal peoples hours but I think it will be amazing. I used to be a night owl. I'm not sure what I am now.

Coffee is ready. It's 32 degrees and 80% humidity, high of 58 degrees. By Thursday it will be back up to 80 degrees.
I worked night shift once upon a time, second shift and graveyard shift. It sucked. My son was a little baby, 6 months old when I went on second shift. When I was single, it wasn't so bad, didn't like it, but I had only me. Married and a baby, it was awful. When I finally came off nights, I swore I'd have to be hungry to ever work nights again. And I've never been hungry. I am a morning person. I like daylight. My internal time clock is set to "primitive".

I'm going to need extra coffee this morning... High in the mid 60's today, off to be hero of the day of putting a new lift axle on a semi.
Speaking of which, you know what being a hero gets you, few slaps on the back atta boy, maybe a few medals/awards depending on who is saying it and you eat a lot of meals alone.

My internal clock is off! I woke up some time before 4, tossed and turned, then finally had to roll out of bed, now it's almost 5:30. It's still dark out, I'm not a vampire, I should still be sleeping!

Starting to get colder for morning running, thinking when I come back from thanksgiving I'll be switching to the treadmill.
Got chased by a fox at the end of my run this morning, that was exciting.
Went to the post office Wednesday right after they closed and found out I had packages that are behind their desk. Had to work until after the post office closed Thursday and Friday, but finally going to be able to make it today during their hours. Nobody told me adulting means being this excited about the stupid stuff like this...

I would have been running on the treadmill way before Thanksgiving...lol.

Yikes, being chased by a wild animal is terrifying. My brother and I were chased by a wild boar when we lived in Florida. I'm glad I was on a bike and not running. Stay safe out there.

I hope you're always excited about the stupid stuff... keeps you young at heart!
