Thanks. I'm still raising registered Scottish Highlands. Down to 2 retired nubian goats.
Not much else going on. I lost my Partner last year after a 2 yr cancer battle, so it's just me on the
farm alone. 😦

I’m so sorry, cancer is a terrible battle to fight. I lost my Daddy to cancer and for several years afterwards I was afraid my Mother would give up, she was just drained.

I lost my husband 4 years ago. I sold our 8 acre farm with a doublewide and bought 25 acres with a doublewide. It was a very hard time in my life. I doubled down and now have more to do than I’ll ever get done, it keeps me busy.

I’m glad you still raise your Highlands, you should start a journal just for them. I post a lambing thread every year, you could do that with your Highlands. ❤️

Coffee is ready. I’m tired this morning. I heard rain sprinkles outside. It’s still dark. As bad as I need the rain, please not now. I’ve got to clean out the trailer, park it in the holding pen, tie the hog panel half back over the gap from the end gate to top of the trailer and put Ozel in it. Plus regular morning chores, and feed the horse. AND leave here by 9:00 to take SIL to PT and pick up her grocery order, take her home, put away groceries, come back and resume duties. I don’t think I’m gonna get all that done by 9:00. I gotta check oil and see how much the truck slung out on the trailer. Another oil leak after spending $1200 the first time, $2500 the second time, I quit. I’ll just keep a couple gallons in the truck and give it frequent drinks. Note to self, get another gallon.

Rear main seal maybe? Look under truck if dripping between transmission and engine, yep. Unless you are blowing blue smoke out the pipe like Cheech n Chong.

I call it the plunge. Here comes winter and it's carrying a lead pipe. We never hit almost sub zero before January, going to be a brutal winter if this pattern holds.

nope, no blue smoke. The trailer is my leak detector, it shows the spray. I'm kinda disappointed, lots of leaks and seals replaced, don't remember the rear main seal.

You don't know me yet, but you have my condolences. I am also in the club I didn't expect to join...I lost my dh to dementia in January.

I have chickens and gardens, so far.
