Down to 6 and wind chill was -2... Already up to a BALMY 24... wind is dying down... Some sun out with some high clouds. Supposed to hit 30.

27 heavy frost. The Maremmas both slept in front of their hay filled shelters. Sheep are leaving the barn to congregate around a round bale. A bit of ice on water bunks but easily broken. Warming up quickly.

Morning all! Breakfast done and coffee downed (still through a straw - stitches come out Fri - ohhh is it Fri yet?).
Heading out to the barn, probably grazing.
Stay warm all of you - I do remember days and days of subzero and wind, layered with thermals, hats, mittens with rabbit fur on the outside, down jackets, 9 volt heated socks and moonboots. I feel your chills

All I can say is -- we're as cold as Montana!! That ain't right Just soooo not right! This is 40* below norms. Makes me really concerned about late Jan into Feb, our usual worst cold. I'm in world famous beach resort area.

Wed, Thur, Fri we are to be back to normal, 55-60. That's why this 7* is so shocking. I want normal.

I'm thinking about getting a heated mattress pad, as even though I was wearing thermal socks my feet took forever to warm up in the bed.

I Love my heated mattress pad. Turn it on a few minutes before climbing in -- so nice, warm sheets!

We are finally getting cooler. Its been mid to high 50's during the day and barely cooling at night. This morning it was 45!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are getting more rain. Not as much as last week, but in 5 hours this morning, we got 0.70"
