Many do not have it available. If bought, very expensive. Now, NO store bought milk is like fresh milked. The processing changes everything. Most states have laws about selling raw milk, preventing it usually.Question. Why don’t you guys feed orphans goats milk? Seems like that’s a good choice. More digestible than cows milk.
Yes. I realize. I have raised calf’s on whole milk from the grocery store. I figure it’s pastured and better quality to use than the milk replacer. Many do not have it available. He'll learn, then he'll wonder what he was worried about.Well... we pretty much have haven't had much winter... sure, this last month has been in the teens and hitting negatives, so I have complained... but I was also very grateful to not be shoveling.
Well... as of last night, here it comes!
Snow and snow and snow, 5 inches this morning and it is still coming down steady.
Plow guy was already here, I just texted him to come back out.
We have church at 6, and this weekend we had a new guy. He just moved here, FROM MARYLAND. He got a job teaching at a school at the very end of the road . .... and made a comment about how he found it a bit scary driving to the church. We all looked at him.... and it pretty much boiled down to "sweety, getting to the church is easy compared to roads you will need to take to get out to that school"
Young kid, just graduated college, 24. Anyway... he is currently driving a borrowed car, very junky, don't want him to have to deal with a snowy road. Today is the first day he had to work at that school, but the principal was going to pick him up and drive him in.
