Lovely morning 🥰.
I've got my giant mug of coffee & am sitting by the back door. It's raining & not COLD so I've got the door open just enough to be able to hear it in the trees.
I'm researching replacement parts for my 'new to me' 1950's percolator and watching videos on how to do Spark deliveries on my off days.

Im finishing my second cup of coffee, slowly. I fed lambs their bottles first this morning, cleaned their dog crate, let them run around awhile, enjoyed my coffee. The sun is shining, the wind is blowing (cold to me). I need to get outside and see if any new lambs have been born, feed, water, etc. Just putting it off, lounging and being lazy. I am not in a rush to get somewhere this morning, it is nice to just have a relaxing morning. But I'll go this afternoon to pick up my granddaughters and it will be a busy week. They love the farm and are looking forward to the bottle babies. I'm planning going to a small state park nearby, with the lambs on a leash, so we can have a picnic and have fun. Tinkerbelle and Mabelline haven't jumped up yelling for their next bottle yet, so I'm not in a hurry to get dressed and get moving.

Up with the light, coffee brewed, cats fed, and then Caleb and I took a ride to the park again.

We walked close to a mile.

Not raining here, yet. Mild, foggy morning. After I finish breakfast I will be heading outside to work on a visual barrier next to the coops.

Finished my coffee. Lambs will start yelling the minute I get up. The little piranhas will need another feeding. I have been a little productive, got 2 loads of son's clean clothes on the sofa to be folded, another in the dryer and another in the washer. I'll try to wash up my clothes too. It depends on what is waiting on me outside. the remaining ewes just need to suck it up for a few days and give me a break.

Wonderful glorious rain... started light showers Friday around noon... off and on... then started really actually raining overnight and expected to rain all day... I woke up twice, went back to sleep... finally up for good.
Bottle feed the calf.... long hoses in the car, sample bottles ready to go...

SOOO glad we are getting this... nice and slow and steady.

My watch says it's 9 with a high of 25. I really want an outside run today, I'll put on warm socks shortly and go tough it out.
Tons of snow this week, got some pictures last night but will get more while running today and will share. Can't say I miss having animals right now.

In the upper 40’s and a chilly north wind. Seasonal for here finally. Freakishly warm weather has one of my hens on a nest in the barn, ten eggs. I think I’ll leave her alone and see what develops. Chicks would be warmest and safest there anyway. Hubbs is off to a party in the city tonight. I have ewe duty and I detest the host so sorry not sorry not going. This person’s parties are lavish but cover for business “opportunities”Hubbs knows him through work and feels obligated to go. I hope he doesn’t come home a partner in some side hustle or part owner of a racehorse (yes, that happened). Wonder what I’ll have for dinner? No new lambs or dog follies. Sheep are in the safe pen with plenty of hay and water. Moses is in a pasture next to them. When the wind settles down I’ll turn him in and watch him. Nothing else to do but get ready for cooler weather.

Busy morning - 39 and going to 68 clear skies and supposedly wind (ha - never trust the forecast here). No rain in the next 10 days or more. Good to dry out the barn corral, but not good for the season.
Sheep have already been out and grazed areas around the barn, the real road, outside fences, etc. Just Obi, as Zo still has the owie foot (another week off for him if he's good).
Practicing with lambs getting into the trailer to make Monday morning go easier. So far so good, some already hopping in.
Double checking with private lamb sales so I know what goes up to the auction on Monday.
