Chicken feed was delivered today, 2 40# bags.

Dog food delivered a couple days ago, 40# bag.

Spare cat food brought in from shed, think it was a 30# bag.

The critters are covered. I can eat "off the cupboards".

Fill up cars with gas, done.

I'll make sure my power banks are charged.

That's about all I can do.

We generally don't lose power here, even during hurricanes, but we'll be okay if it happens. I'll fill gallon jugs with potable water, chickens can drink rain barrel water.

Wait...what about coffee?
:ep

Usually no power loss here, but be prepared. I'll run generator before Sat, in case. I'm good with coffee & cooking -- top of propane stove. Propane tanks full. Plenty of food, etc. Actually plenty for livestock, extra hay is a precaution. Not sure how long roads would hinder travel.

I'll make brownies thurs! 🤣

Good afternoon all!
Another gloomy day here. I'm soooo tired of the fog. Thankful DH made it to work and home safely again.
Calves are doing great right now. Adoptive mom is showing more concern for them by the day but hasn't yet given in completely. Heifer is looking more and more miserable by the day. Probably time to go hook up trailers and rearrange them so I can get trailers back in their places and get the flatbed ready for a hay load.
Y'all facing the cold temps get prepped and be safe! :hugs

Gotta have coffee - and brownies. Brownies are mandatory in storms!
Aha! I know what I can do. I have a thermal carafe that holds coffee at least warm for 24 hours. I can brew a full pot, put in the carafe. It should work, I only drink a couple cups daily.

Weather Update, Virginia is looking bad, forecast for over 12" of snow in areas:

@canesisters @farmerjan
The forecast is all over the place.... major ice storm? 4" of snow? 6"? 8"? 12"+??🤷‍♀️ We'll know better in a few days, of course.
I tested the generator tonight. Will fill the gas cans Friday & stock up on easy food in case Dad needs to come up for a few days. Just refilled the chicken feeder & Eva got 2 bales this past Saturday.
I was notified today that the women's conference (this weekend) I've been so excited about since Nov has been postponed until March.... kinda bummed about that.

Everyone keep safe & warm, this is a big storm & will impact an awful lot of folks.

Good evening all! It's been a long day. Hubs had an appointment today, linked to the health scare he had before Christmas. Anyway, it was imaging, done over a 4 hour period. Take a picture, leave, come back take another picture. I had to visit the vampires for a blood test, so I didn't even get my tea this morning...lol

We were hoping to pick up a sheet of hardboard today. Had a bunch of stuff to return to HD. Hubs had everything loaded into the pickup. As I was getting ready to load the honey in, I saw that the left front tire looked low. It has a nail in it. So, quickly moved everything into the car. Couldn't deal with the tire had to get into town for his appointment. Hope to get it fixed tomorrow at the local tire store.

Have a good night all! 💗
