Acceptable? Well, it's ok....I jugged her. She was in a shared barn. Will move her tomorrow. With weather, don't want others to crowd a newborn who might not move fast. Good weather, most would be outside; not inside & testy. Ya know, goats don't like "wet". Some have no patience.

Congratulations on her kidding tonight BEFORE the blizzard hits.

Good morning! Coffee is ready! I’m getting things done outside. The old roping chute that I have to tear down, so I can set the two 40’ shipping containers, is full of blackberry canes. Wicked thorny canes, over my head. Staples are in the inside. A problem. Yesterday son used the grapple on his tractor to pull up posts and dragged out a 80’ section. Now we can pull staples. I can run my tractor down the chute to mow down the blackberry canes and it will be easy to pull staples on the other side of the chute. I’m excited!!

We have warm weather in the forecast. And for us it's honestly a bad thing. Could use for this snow to stay and for more to come. Going to make an ice layer when it's all done. Locals are saying they've never seen a winter so mild like this.
This week feels like it's been two. Long day coming today, yesterday was longer, trying to decide how much caffeine I need. Don't know how I would survive without it.

Well.... stupid weather.

You guys are having it too cold, I am having it too warm. I hugely dislike sheets of ice.

No we are NOT supposed to be switching weather OK-VA with with AK & WY. That's the souths normal. Like the nice winter pic of MiniHorses ice tree. We were sub 0 last weekend and will be again in the morning. I need to work on truck before leaving sun. It's colder today than I want to mechanic and going to be colder tomorrow. I'm surprised, here at least that it got cold a couple of days before the snow storm. It was in the 50's-60's a few days earlier. That can get us over 1/2" of ice covered in wet snow.
Good news it'll be above freezing this afternoon and in the 40's next week.

So how did the eggs go? Did any hatch? I feel so bad for both you and the kids. Disappointing!

I STILL remember how cool it was in 10th grade... we incubated eggs for just a few days (can't remember how long), and then super carefully took off a section of shell. It was at the stage where you see just a heart and the veins and arteries. No skin to hide the view. And the heart just kept beating away. Wild!

Yeah... I know that isn't what you were doing. And... probably can't do that in school any more? :idunno

Maybe not, but that had to be amazing.

@Poka_Doodle I think you should do it like this! So very cool.
