Coffee is ready. I've got my ice pack in the small of my back. I'll be glad when I get over this and can go back to getting some things done around here.
I'll be glad for you too. Being laid up with a back injury is extremely frustrating. Been there, done that. I'm glad you're taking care of yourself and giving it time to heal. :hugs

26 was the low overnight... Sun is coming across the hill, temp already at 31... going to be in the 50's or more today !!!!! WOW...
Got a load of clothes in the washing machine... it ought to warm up in a bit to break through the hard crust so hanging out the clothes should not be a treacherous risk to walk out there...
Will do at least one more load to hang... the lined flannel jeans. Not many fit in one load anyway, and they take longer to dry.

Need to get the sledge hammer back from DS from when he was breaking some ice at snyder's, until he had to go to the axe.... I need to bust up the crust on the back of the flat bed truck so I can get it off...

SOOOO VERY THANKFUL for the sun and warming trend...

My son is taking good care of me by taking good care of my animals. I've told him that if he catches a job, to take it, I'll be ok. He says no, he can't do that.

Good morning all! Heat wave here, a sizzling 32°. I had to break a thin ice crust in the watering tubs, so I know it was colder overnight.

Heading out in a few to the local Social Security office, my direct deposit was returned to them. It appears some brainiac put the wrong routing number in the system, it went to the wrong bank though the account number was correct. Over two hours on hold last night to find out the fastest way to fix this is in person.

Be nice...be nice

Ah. Bureaucracy.

Security guard "Do you have an appointment?"

Me "No. The SSA rep I spoke with last night told me I didn't need one".

SG (gruff) "What are you here for?"

Me (wants to say "None of your business") "I'm here to correct my deposit information".

SG "You can't have outside food or drink" motioning to my coffee tumbler.

Take it to the car, come back in.

SG "Check in there" pointing to a touch screen kiosk.

Mr. Personality he isn't.

Listening to the people sitting around me and at the windows, sounds like the gubberment is doing its usual efficient job...

50-65 today - finally going the right direction! Highs predicted all week in the 60s! Hopefully that will stay or go lower. Looks like possible rain tomorrow, and next week. Hopefully in time to stop the progression of yellowing. Hoping but not holding my breath.
It's sit with Kit day! YAY
Lambs did great out in the big pastures with the whole flock yesterday. Will do that again today.
Need to stop at the PO to get some of their boxes today.
Hoping my canner makes it here today. Was supposed to be here Friday, then Saturday (something about undeliverable?? HUH??) and now scheduled for today. Time will tell.
