And...other than dental & vision, OTC $, still never used ANY of doctor coverages.. I'm with BCBS and get an $80 payback, which reduces premium pd. Annuals & dental/ vision have no co pays. Yes, higher out of pocket, co pays not bad, no RX. I have no other supplemental health ins. It's about what we feel comfortable with...what we know our needs seem to be. I'm ok with my choices. I haven't had a prescription in almost 30 yrs.👍 I'm pretty healthy I think. One day I'll go for a check up & see  :old
I don't have vision coverage, and the Medicare rep told me that dental coverage wasn't worth the premiums. I didn't get it, either.

All those things are on my list or I have grown them. I’m planning figs- everbearing and Celeste. I had two asparagus beds at the old place, planning one here. Rosemary yes, near the grapes. I have a Moonglow and Bartlett pear aged 2yrs. I also had/have apples. Arkansas Blacks, Fuji, Granny Smith and a Honeycrisp. The soil around the house is a floury reddish sand and not much does well unless it’s amended. I have a barnful of amendment but it takes time. And I always find a way to grow tomatoes. In ground or containers. Navajo, Black Krim, Celebrity and Yellow Pear. Sorry I’ll use up the light and air talking about gardening. :hide
I love talking about gardening! :clap

Good afternoon all! :frow
Great day so far. Started with seeing a preview from postal service of the trusts refund check I've been fighting for 6 months for. PO actually forwarded it. Stalked the mailbox until it arrived praying it was the 2nd check sent not the 1st that was sent the beginning of december and now not valid. It was the correct check! Praise the Lord! Then onto a call to the trusts less than bright accountant for the taxes. He still hadn't let me know it was time to finish them. DH leaves soon so we wanted to get them done before he leaves if possible since there is nothing to really do for them. Got that scheduled for tomorrow before work. By the time he gets back here from his trip we can hopefully close the trust and move on with our own lives. Can't even begin to put into words how much relief I'll have when it's all over. One HUGE thing off my list.
Newest heifers calves are scouring a bit today. Not sure if it's her milk coming in or if it's the weather swing. It's storming again. Treated them and separated them for milking tonight since they need less milk until it clears up. So I guess milking daily is back on my list for a bit. That's ok. At least at the moment. I'll put away more cream and butter in the freezer. Just not exactly what I wanted to be doing while DH is on his trip.
Made two batches of granola for DH to take with him. Still have peanut brittle to make for the realtor, the previous owners (thank you for taking care of the place while were not there) and one batch for a long time acquaintance at the stock yard who whined last time I was in because he didn't get his for christmas. I wasn't here so no one did but I told him I'd make him a batch. Little does he know it will be his last batch. Ha ha. Made deviled eggs last night. Some for now eating and some for DH to take with him if there's any left. Packaged up chili for his trip and the rice. Slowly getting the list done for his trip. Sure hope the storm doesn't delay his leaving.
Better get back to it. Hope y'all have a fantastic evening! :hugs

@fuzzi the dental & vision are part of my advantage plan, so all in the one prem, about 120 a month this yr, with the Medicare increase. Pays 100% of eye exam & glasses, if I don't pick 200$ frames  Dental gives me check ups, cleanings 2x yr, X-rays as needed & $2000 for any repairs, caps, crowns, bridges, implants, etc. I've had 6 crowns on back teeth in past 3 yrs. Nothing out of pocket.
I'm good...something I never got with reg Medicare!!

@drstratton glad to hear you made it home
This is why I wasn't interested in setting 3am alarms! Hope you get back on a better sleep schedule soon.
There's a story to it... and I think some of my kids are sick of me telling the story.
My brother was a competitive skier for a while. He got pretty dang good, but just not good enough to have a future in the sport. But he was up there, training and competing with those who had a future in the sport.
Flash forward to now, his friends, a kid or two that I watched when they were maybe 10, maybe 14 or 16, are now in the Olympics. I spent my weekends, many years ago watching these kids compete, so a couple of early alarms because they made the top, is very worth it.
I also know that if I don't watch it live, I won't watch because I get busy.

Medicare Advantage was not one of my choices, just AEtna, United. Oh well.

I would do it for that too. That's really awesome! 💗

Here's a few pictures from our trip. I didn't take as many as I normally do.

I woke up at 2-something. Been on the heating pad, now on ice pack. Took pain pills 30 minutes ago. I got a haircut yesterday and went to church last night. I wanted to see if I could stand sitting in a chair, not so good. Going for second cup of coffee.
