Warm up coming next week!!! YAH...we deserve it. Mid to upper 50s, I'll think it's summer  Chilly this morning but should see only a skim of ice on tubs. Need to move on out to feed so I can get myself off to work. After today, a 3 day weekend :clap

I'll need to get a load of feed, load of hay, propane tanks filled -- 😳 that just spent my tax refund! :old Time & money gone.

Taxes done. Holy moly this "accountant" is.... Well.....:he:he. My math said that there wasn't an exact division for the money left from the trust and the amount it was to be divided. Accountant kept telling me I was wrong. Wrote out the checks and did the math as I entered them in the check book and guess what????? Not an exact split as I said. So we are short a few cents on our check. Exactly what have we paid this "accountant" for? $1,000 for a very unprofessional accounting that even standard words aren't spelled properly. I've caught him being wrong several times on the math end of the accounting. On top of it he had the trusts town wrong in a spot on the taxes and another spot he technically had the correct town but spelled it wrong. :he :he :he :he We are finally done with him and almost completely done with the trust. The final checks are written and would have been dropped off at the attorney but they were gone for the day already when we finished at the accountants. So i'll have to drive back to town and drop them off tomorrow. Supposedly once the checks are all cashed and the bank balance is at zero we can close the trust account. No bills have come in for months now but technically someone can bill the trust for another just shy of 6 months. It's confusing to me that they would close the trust and finish paying out when there is a possibility of a bill coming due for another almost 6 months. Hope paying out the rest isn't a mistake because we'll never get the beneficiaries to pay back any bill amount that came due so we'd have to pay it out of our pocket. I'll be so glad when this is all behind us. Accountant said the taxes are filed as of today although he said some forms are still not out for state but they can still be submitted. Not sure how that works. He did show that this person is deceased so now the governments are aware. Sure hope he didn't mess anything up. DH had a look on his face that almost made me bust out laughing on the spot. I guess when you see the nonsense in person it's a bit more shocking.
I'm mentally exhausted. Time to get to chores. Y'all have a good evening. :hugs
You sure you don't have my real estate lawyer I fired in the court room during a court trial?

On the sugar... it's been at least a year or more... maybe since covid???? They still sell 10 lbs. and 25 lbs... but the 5 lb bag is 4 lbs.... Like ice cream that most companies make is no long a 1/2 gallon... and recently a QT jar of mayonaise that was 32 oz is not a "qt looking jar" that is 30 oz....
For a certain retailer with a dog logo sugar changed 2015ish. I stocked the dry grocery side. Sugar section for 5 pounders 40 bags long by 10 bags deep, three shelves tall. Took a couple of pallets to fill that bronc and the multiple locations during the holidays. Now I’m a flabby old lady with man arms :lol:

I did a google search out of curiosity... One person said that in the mid 80's they noticed the change in the IGA... but another says that it happened more or less as a standard in the 2009 time frame...
I did not notice it until a few years ago... I guess I always looked for the 5 lb or the 10 lb bags...

I shouldn't calculate my hours at work... or I would really question what I do.
Way back when dinosaurs roamed the earth... so... mid 90s

spouse had a job in a lab on a college campus, salary job, not hourly. And on "intake weeks" the hours were long. We once sat down and calculated how much spouse made per hour... it was in the 2 dollar range!

Guess it's a Sat schedule everywhere. Chugging coffee to help. Cold last night, frost this morn but heading into 50s, so good day coming. Rain Sunday.
