Propane is delivered as needed. The tank probaly is owned by the fuel company. A drop of 100 gallons can be expensive, but we sign up for the budget plan. They figure out what you'll probably use over the winter, then split up the cost into monthly payments.
They had to have it filled right after we purchased the place so we paid for it. Just shy of $800. Previous owners said it will last through spring or so in theory. We'll see how that goes. Know nothing about it. Will go in next trip I'm there and transfer the tank into our names or whatever they need done.

Anything else on propane? Stove? Hot water?

Yeah, we don't need anymore explosions in this group! 🙄
How about a near miss? Idiot AC contractors shorted out wiring at work in drop ceiling when doing AC project a month ago. Today lab tries to use propane in fume hood. Bottle full open but no flow at hood. Turns out AC guys arc'd a hole in the propane line. Maintenance manager said it reaked of propane above drop ceiling. No clue how we didn't go BOOM!

Why I hate to drive at night!

About 1/4 mile from home, a damned deer ran into my truck!! 🤬 Skid marks on truck from door to just in front of rear tire, big dent there and it ripped the rear tail light out as it slid on off -- apparently! Driving along, a big whap and looked at side mirror to see light hanging there at rear. Stopped. Placed light back in place ( it'll need reconnecting to body but works). Surprised deer wasn't in the truck bed!

Turned & drove back to see if it was laying along road...didn't see one but no doubt it's out there hurt/ dead.

Certain it wasn't insured....but I'm not covered for it either. Annoying! Might be able to suction dent out 🤷

That's terrifying! All I can say about things like that, is God was protecting you. 💗

Glad you weren't hurt. Hope it's an easy repair.

We were driving a rental car and had a deer run into my driver door. It was trying to get back to it's baby, which was on the other side of the car. Thankfully, I wasn't going to fast and neither was she, didn't even leave a mark. I hate renting cars...lol

The stove is propane. I suspect that will be a huge learning curve too. DH said he tried to use it but apparently the igniter is going bad so that's now on the list for repairs too. We just keep finding more and more and more things that need fixed or replaced and we aren't even living there yet. :barnieWhere's the shelling out more and more $$$$ while crying emoji 🤦‍♀️

DH made it back safe.:weee So thankful God protected him on his travels. He's very tired. Especially with the time change. He's going to try and stay up the rest of the night and attempt to get back on his night schedule. I don't expect him to last long. :th He's doing an awful lot of yawning. 🥱
Hope y'all have a blessed weekend!:hugs
