Coffee anyone ?

Yellowstone is closing for a month after the winter season. And with that, most businesses in town are doing the same. Weird to see the Facebook posts of places shutting down for a bit, but I'm learning it's just a part of the cycle in this town. And once summer hits, the craziness will be here in full force.
That's just insanity no matter which side you look at it. We have events as such in town and we avoid the town for the week they are held i.e. Bucking Horse sale, or as we call it, Drunken Horse sale, but months of events like that...Nope...
Lived in Port Angeles which they didn't shut down as such, but come last day of school around the country I was hoping for the first day of school to start so they would leave.
Two lane highway with one way in and out on the peninsula with some construction on top of it and a floating bridge that opens up, yeah disaster in the summer. Especially as you got closer to Bremerton or Port Townsend where the waves of vehicles from ferries were coming of over 100 plus vehicles at a time.

Get Caleb a thundershirt. Chewy has them.
I tried a Thundershirt with my last dog, Cleo. Didn't help one bit. Even if I'd not given it away I couldn't try, it was for a 70# dog, Caleb's much smaller.

The RexSpecs ear muffs are supposed to arrive today, am going to try those first, as per @SageHill suggestion.

Coffee, celebrity news and bottle lamb. Had my usual diluted cup. Hubbs doesn’t make coffee as much as he tortures it. He cannot be convinced to do otherwise. Someone fired a gun at Rhianna’s Los Angeles home- the metro news gushed about the incident for several minutes. I lack the vocabulary to describe my indifference. Who decides the story priority I wonder? News then redeemed itself with a story about Death Valley’s wildflower super bloom. The bottle lamb went to the flock first thing this morning. It began to rain lightly and she followed the sheep into the barn. Hooray! I was afraid she would stall, bawl and get soaked. Have a great day everyone :weee

Been there and it's crazy, beautiful, but too many people. I didn't know you were a wetsider...lol

It's 30°. Woke up to the sound of wind machines running in the orchards. Hopefully it didn't destroy our different stone fruit blooms. They aren't quite open yet, but it can kill them off. I love walking out into my yard and picking fresh fruit. Cold again tonight, but I think above freezing.

They do get rabies

I was thinking that as well
I had that thought too. I'm more inclined to think something else was going on, it really wasn't acting rabid. But, you never know and we weren't willing to take a chance by not doing anything.

One county over we are having a distemper outbreak in raccoons. Every LGD I ever had hated raccoons and engaged them immediately to the death. Raccoons can carry a lot of diseases, I don’t like them.
