First cup of coffee down, want second cup but that means I have to get up and go get it. Maybe I should get one of those pump a cup things.

@Blue Sky have you ever watched the Big Horn sale at Hamilton? They are having one on May 9 and they show it on their fakebook page. I might watch this one, never been, never watched it. They don't list Raka sheep on their page, maybe you could get a Raka ewe and take one someday just for the fun of it.

And you came from Southeast Texas........... :gig:lol::gig
My first deployment I came out of Ft Campbell, KY 101st Airborne, it was about a foot of snow on the ground. Within 18 hours I was in Kuwait desert running through the night to a waiting bus to transport us to our camp. Many of times thereafter, I went from one climate extreme to another.

Gee, how do you dress for that? Formal attire or camo? Boots or tennis shoes? Absolutely no flip flops!
The works and you carry anything else in your duffel bags. You have A and B duffel bags for different climates that get loaded up and stored elsewhere. You keep your rucksack and full battle rattle on/with you including rifle. No civilian clothing, you have a pack list and that is gone over and over and over with layout after layout after layout when not in the field training or deployed.
Funny thing is they lost them on our first deployment, we lived out of our rucksacks for months at a time. First month was don't take your boots off and if you do, only one at a time. We stayed in our original uniform we invaded with for over a month, with orders to keep the clean set in our rucksacks in case our body needs to be shipped back home. So over 100°F temps wearing chemical suits over our uniform for weeks at a time never changing clothing.
We were part of the "Shock and Awe" you seen on TV March 19 2003 and we didn't get our first shower/bath til mid to late April in which was in a school building we garrisoned in which was just a hose. Ah the good times...

Reminds me of what a friend told me about his deployment in Viet Nam. They slept in the mud in pouring rain, couldn't put their helmet over their face, it would fill up with so many mosquitoes that they couldn't breathe. their beards would grow out and be filthy with mud, debris and who knows what. Their skin turned green from being rained on every day and staying wet in the heat. I haven't thought about that in years......
