Went out with hubs tonight to take the garbage to the end of our drive. I told him, I'd keep him safe and then asked him if he felt safer having me with him... his answer, "yes, I can run faster than you". I looked at him and said, "are you sure about that"? His answer, "no, not really".:gig

Good night everyone. :frow
It was hot today. Highest in the sun our thermometer got was 103* today. Everyone around here is miserable. All the animals were panting and sweating like crazy. We have about a week of this before it cools slightly. Have 2 calves down with scours now. Watching everyone really close. The fun just doesn't end.
Jersey heifer is still holding onto her calf. She looks like she's going to go any second. Feel bad for her in the heat especially. She's miserable as it is. Add the sudden heat and not having lost her winter coat yet and she's miserable. She's barely eating right now. Mostly just moving around miserable. She wants me to help her but my hands are going to fall off from all the massaging I'm giving her.
Got more stuff packed today. A few house chores done. Still need to make soap. Keep putting it off. Need to get it done so I can pack all the supplies and get them moved.
Set a bunch of rat and mouse traps tonight. Saw two rats in the last two days. It's a never ending battle with our neighbors. Will not be sorry to see that left behind either. Just hoping they don't move in like crazy while it's listed for sale and we aren't here.
Suppers about ready. Y'all have a great day. :hugs

Thanks. We hope so too. She's miserable for sure. The heat is a huge concern. Especially since no one has had a chance to blow their winter coat yet.
You have a good night too! :hugs

Wow, 103! We don't get that until about July. No telling this yr tho 🤪 There is a warming trend for next few days, more normal temps, not this cold from wherever. I need my pasture to grow. Hay is expensive. With gas costs, it's only gonna get worse! Well, everything will, from harvesting to trucking stuff in. 😵‍💫 Just never ends. Wallet attackers.

Time to leave for work!

@Baymule hope you have a good day today 👍🫂

Currently 63, so warm this morning, high of 77 expected. Temps are dropping on Saturday.

Awake at 3:30, finally gave up trying to fall back to sleep and got up at 4:30. Taking a break from yard work and the remodel this afternoon. Supposed to go play golf with 2 of my friends. First time out this year, with anyone other than hubs and that was only 1 time. I've been dealing with tendonitis in my left elbow for around 2 years. Makes playing golf and doing a lot of my chores painful, but I can't just quit living. Stressing about it, so that's probably why I can't sleep.

Have a lovely day all. ☀️🐝🌺🌸🌻☀️

For those who wear hearing aids: If you look at your right one it's color coded red, the one on the left is blue, correct?
Now go to a back of the semi or the front of a trailer with air brakes and look at the glad hand connectors, red on the right, blue on the left. Coincidence?
