Coffee anyone ?

I need to get dressed, go put and dump water out of feed pans and troughs, turn ewe crew out on the field, put Buford in the middle field and turn put the lamb crew. Feed Red and "his" girls, Cooper, Rocky and the ewe with the lamb. Feed Max and get ready to go pick up my SIL and off we go.

Rural King is like TSC on steroids... way bigger, lots more "farmer" things... TSC has sadly trended to catering to more of the "urban backyard farmer".... Yes, better than not a farmer at all.... but they don't have alot of what we need for our bigger operation... and after noon on Saturday's, they are our only hope to fix something that ALWAYS breaks down on a weekend...
They also have alot more chicken stuff, and good farm type clothes... and a nice enough section for the urban farmer too.... cute signs and birdhouses and all sorts of things... The one we go to has a good sized dept for weed eaters and has a guy that actually works on them... but they cater more to the bigger farmer than TSC does. AND prices are much better than the local co-op on alot of stuff... oil, hydraulic fluid, , and chicken feed. I feed the "meat bird" feed because of the 18% protein... it is suggested for game birds, turkeys and such... NOT MEDICATED... but they have a huge selection... lots of baby chicks too... That is where I got my turkeys at that bargain last year... have guineas... I am seriously thinking of getting some even though they are stupid and will likely get killed before next year... but I want them to roam some and eat these #@&% TICKS...
Just took #5 tick off me for the season already...
I would love to have tick eaters , with this very mild winter we had we had tics from Dec. to now, still,,, BUT we have a lot of coyotes , bob cats, Mt lions, bears, and giant owls, Eagles, hawks SO I wont bother,, it would just be feeding the wild life

Well, ya know there is always something that need put away, wiped down, fridge or oven wiped out, dusted, a bush that needs cut, :caf BUT I am not going to wash windows until this sticky cedar / fir / alder pollen is finished turning everything yellow. I love living surrounded by forest but the pollen is so acidic

Good morning all. I’m watching the storm videos with coffee. We had quite a thunderstorm yesterday and probably got 3 inches of rain per the dog dish. Nothing severe but enough lightning to bring Moses and the flock in. I had all the dogs in the house because of expected hail which happily didn’t happen. More rain today and a lot more tomorrow. Roadrunners have taken up residence near the barn. I’m glad to have them. I wonder if anyone has done a study on how the presence of LGDs affects wildlife. I’ve always had an abundance of cottontails and the occasional marsh rabbit who would rather risk the dogs than the coyotes. Looks like Mr. and Mrs. Meep meep have the same idea.

Sheep are fed and out, all set for the day. @Blue Sky We've got lots of roadrunners ("Roadies") love them, but they have taken to leaving reminders :barnie on the garage driveway. Big ones too - always washing them off. It's a small price to pay for them taking out what I don't want.

Farm Bureau is doing a "taste" tonight at the flower fields - going to go and nibble a lot for dinner.
