So??? its a Peach? is it the big green tree or red one? or small green one??
my first thought is gut everything below your chest and then reach up and if you cant reach it with a step stool cut it off,,, if it touches the house cut it off

I keep my fruit trees cut to reachable fruit and not reaching the ground
All peach. Two varieties. Exotic and it’s runaway graft.

They’re whoppers. They’ve grown since we moved in and I was not able (knee) to deal with them. The dogs love them, from beneath they can see quite a distance, keep cool and enjoy low hanging fruit. I’ll take out the dead and unhealthy branches but I may wait until fall to do the clean up. Any advice appreciated.

Just discussed Peachzilla with hubs. He said peaches should be pruned in the spring. You should be safe to take out some of the big stuff now, get it down to the height you want it. He said open it up to let the light in. This tree has 3 main branches. It did have 4. He only removed it because we planted a Dogwood next to it. We will take this peach out when the Dogwood gets bigger. I have 3 other peach trees. Hope this helps.

Nope, not enough to barely get the ground wet. Just checked the rain gauge, we have MAYBE half a tenth in the 2 different gauges... so .05... it is cloudy but our radar is showing it moving away... much greener on the radar east of the Blue Ridge mtns and to the coast... Yeah, @Mini Horses , @canesisters , @GLENMAR , @secuono getting it...
Need more. I've been out finishing the new fence to move the cattle tomorrow. Rain did not even get through my sweatshirt.

Howdy all! :frow
Been a busy day so far. Got caught up on the dishes I left last night. 🫣 Sometimes I just can't force myself by the end of the night. Clabber was ready so I skimmed off the sour cream and started making cottage cheese. Came out delicious. Trying different methods to see what we really like best for eating plain.
Pulled some ground pork to thaw to make some pressed lunch meat. Still working on a recipe that we really like. Really want to figure out a pressed beef lunch meat we like. I have two presses so I want to be able to make options at one time so I'm not going to all the trouble for a few days of meat tops. Especially if I'm getting the slicer out. In the long run I want to make bulk batches every so often with even more presses. Slice in bulk and package up enough for a few day at a time so during busy season we still have lunch meat without all the cooking etc. We have a ton of beef right now. Pork is going quick and with the move we aren't raising more at the moment.
A whole bunch of truck parts came today. DH is slowly picking away at the rig before work. He thinks he's decided on a new set of tires. Hoping to take advantage of the sale they are offering right now if the tires he wants fall under their sale.
DH is just getting up so in a bit the chaos will begin. 😂 It's our friday so I'm hoping to get a little bit of rest this evening before the hubby tornado tries to tackle the world this weekend. 😂
Y'all have a great afternoon! :hugs

I'm in awe. Making your own lunchmeat!!! Just wow. Closest I've ever come is slicing ham, beef or turkey leftovers.

We've sliced ham, turkey etc over the years but really wanted to try and make "deli" meats. So I bought a couple presses and am giving it a go. We both like sliced deli meat but don't like the ingredients they add to it not to mention it's so expensive to buy it premade. It's substantially cheaper to make our own. Just have to get a recipe dialed in we really like. Hoping to take it on my next run home too as a quick meal on the go.

A.L.L. D.A.Y. R.A.I.N..... :clap soak in kind.

Haven't been able to check any amounts but over an inch, I'm sure. I'll check in morn -- actually still some drizzle going on. Needed. @farmerjan hope y'all had another system that didn't split around you 🤞🤞
