Coffee anyone ?

From the Too Much Information Department-
I’ve had a red, itchy rash on my shins all week. Poison ivy lotions don’t work, burn gel helped a little. Actually I think it is poison ivy but a secondary infection scandal has begun. Puppy gave it a sniff and made a face. Antibiotics indicated. Any home remedies for p.i. are welcome. (Maybe I have the Texas version, heck maybe I have fireblight ).

Best Work Day Ever!!!!

We have a k-kup coffee maker at work & they (usually) keep it fairly well stocked with various makes & models of coffee.
They replaced the hot/cold filtered water dispenser in the break room the other day with one that also makes ice.

Yesterday I realized that I've now got almost unlimited access to ICED COFFEE!!!! 🄰
:yesss:

Did someone post on here the 5 worst tick diseases ? I cannot find it and want to do some more research... I might have read it somewhere else but thought it was here on BYH
Don't think it was me, but this was in my emails:

PI is an allergic reaction so I take an antihistamine when I start itching.

How about a baking soda paste?

If not oozing, I would try some zinc oxide ointment. It's the basis for diaper rash cream without baby powder added. A good pharmacy might carry it.

A like and an informational. Antihistamine already inbound. I wondered about a freak case of shingles . No blisters though and on both shins. I’m starting a mild antibiotic with dinner. I did try ground fresh dock weed and peteyfoozer I haven’t found any jewel weed or squaw weed. They should be here but no where I have looked. I have had luck with honey but messy and melts off. I’ll see how the antibiotics do. I’d avoid them but the rash is cranberry colored (cranberries maybe?) and spreading. :sick

This is from @Baymule
I have a bottle of clorox water. Th same bottle I keep in the kitchen for cleaning LOL. I spray it on poison ivy and I don't break out. If I get a rash, the clorox water stops the itch.
Not sure of the ratio, hopefully she will comment soon.

I hope you get better quickly.

I mix it half and half. I’ve even poured Clorox straight out of the bottle on my arms. A little extreme…… LOL
You can soak in a bathtub with a couple cups of Clorox. Pat dry then spray affected area.
