I hate this doe's fur genetics. She's got regular fur, passes it to lots of her kits...
Can you guess which has the standing fur? All are actually the same shade of chocolate.
Kept a choc doe n buck and black buck until next week.

Got some hay racks, clip on bowls and heavy bowls for super cheap!

Cleaned and drying.

The orange are so cute! Gonna use some for Halloween 🎃. Lol

Now to find some stackers! Or rebuild some or even divide the ones I have back to 2×2ft for awhile...

Idk of the bowls will be used, as my buns are chronic flippers, but orange ones will be indoors if not outside for them.

Well, I have heavy duty floor leftovers. 11in with 1in cut end. 50ft long. Can make 22in by 50ft, lol, cage.
Or, twelve 4ft cages.
20250822_111754.jpg

If I remove the odd mix cages, of 5 holes, I have from the 2 ends of the rabbitry, I can make two stackers, 3-4 high. So, 6-8 holes!
I just need to find wall wire, either reuse from elsewhere or buy.

Got two rolls. Enough to make walls for one 2×5ft stacker with a 3in gap for the trays. Will use scrap for doors/fronts if at all possible.

I clearly cannot stay at 20 buns, so I need to make more space....
the outdoor 5ft cage will be taken apart for this.
The 4hole cull cage, hmm, I'll see what's left with the other scraps before deciding on its fate. I have to protect it from coons or scrap it, it can't have buns in it otherwise.

Hmm. Found metal to use. Will add a rear bar, too.
Getting the first half of the floors attached. Then the 2nd halves will go on before the roof panels, as it'll be more difficult afterwards. And bend the sides 2in as well.
Need to take apart the other cage and I dug up a real old tractor cage to reuse for roof panels, too!

But my dumb arse cut the roll to 6ft sections, not 5ft....So, now I have lots of 11in sections. 🤦🏽‍♀️😭
