The bees are hungry. Just fed them their syrup. Six weeks until buckwheat starts to bloom.

I'm glad I planted flowers. I know it's not enough to support our 4 hives during the summer dearth, but at least it supplements and they are still getting pollen from them. I've fed them a lot of sugar syrup this year, trying to help them build comb and now just trying to keep them fed. They've worked so hard, I hope we can keep them strong and healthy so they will make it through winter. Next year will be better for them and cheaper for us...lolBees are busy!
We're going to plant clover in our treeline and in front of the Apiary this fall, that will give them a lot more food during the times of dearth.
