Anyone missing a rooster?

I'm wondering if someone dumped him.

Update on the Naked neck.

He disappeared, and I felt bad that he might have been killed. But this afternoon as I was in my backyard I saw movement in my backyard neighbor's property, the homeowner himself. Yes, it was his rooster, and it found its way home, is back in the run safe.

Happy ending.

That's good news. At least now you know where he belongs, should he show up again!

A silkie crossed with a naked neck results in a show girl. Cuter than cute.

I'm going to disagree on "cute", but I don't like silkies to start with

I'm not big on silkies... but I do like the "painted" ones that are sorta splash but not evenly colored... Have no desire to own any.... I think NN - ie Turkens _ are so ugly that they are sorta cute... have no desire to have any of them. And I think the naked neck silkies are just overall not attractive...
Frizzles are a neat looking anomaly, but I am not a big fan of them either...

BUT... that is why there are so many breeds of chickens... a breed/type/feather that appeals to just about anything you can want...
Now feathered legs I like on the Langshans... feathered down the outside toe... Cochins and other breeds that have feathers on all the toes are pretty if the chicken is perfectly clean and such... the feathers get pretty bedraggled in the mud and stuff. How many of us have the perfect pens for the perfect conditions to have the perfect poultry:hide:hide:hide:hide

Clean legged birds just look "neater" .... and definitely easier to keep cleaner and take care of...
