Maybe save me a couple/few for the spring poultry swap??? PLEASE.... they hold up better than using small cardboard boxes for things like the electric fence insulators or carrying smaller amounts of fence staples and clips for the Tposts and such....

The shed looks real good...

Ha! I was thinking the same thing. Sure.

A lot of the containers came from my office, at work. We don't drink that much coffee here.

I don't share much about DD and her family, she's a private person. In short, they're trying to escape from Chicago. Tonight she told me that they're looking at relocating to the Hendersonville TN area. DSIL has been working on a transfer to greater Nashville.

Oh...it's very doable!!!

She'd be about 30 minutes from where we used to live and in the same area/town as my brother. Better schools there than other places in the state. That's cool. Watch for tornadoes!

Grew up in the 'burbs --- when they were more farmland than anything else, had a house in the outer 'burbs, left there in 89 for here. No way I could go back there. Just as %*#$ at the current Cali - but at least we don't get below zero and snow here.

She grew up in Upstate SC, she knows the drill.

I don't blame her. Chicago sucks!

One reason they're still there is DSIL is a born and raised Chicago native. He doesn't want to leave, but he realizes they need to go...it's not what it was 50 years ago.

They were living a few blocks from the Loop, old Brownstone type neighborhood. It started getting dangerous, they moved west. Crime keeps encroaching, and they can't afford the suburbs west and north of O'Hare. So they're leaving.

I'm glad to have done some sightseeing there before things got bad.

Check out the shelf

I keep chicken feed in coffee cans, saves me a few steps daily.

I also keep plastic grocery bags stored in coffee cans, around the backyard. If I need to clean up after the dog or need a makeshift glove the bags are handy.

But I still have plenty of cans left...

These are unopened. We squirrel away when coffee is on sale.
