Hmmm. Don't know what is being made but, I'm thinking I would tighten the weave -- again, it may be perfect as is. Tell us what's outcome to be? Interesting to learn what I just don't know

Don't have any yarn anywhere near as thick, so this project gets to sit around for months, or longer, until I make more. Need to wait until after shearing to clean up some black fleeces.

Do you have to use the same size yarn if it's going to be an art piece or something to put on a table?? I would think that different size yarns would make a textural interest kind of the way colors do. But I know absolutely nothing about yarns or weaving other than appreciating what others do.

It's a blanket to go over other blankets, aka layering on cold days.
