Maybe it is like the dye they use for Easter Eggs, it is mixed with Vinegar.

Sure hope you like that color in your hair if it is going to be semi permanent Some years ago some people on DD1's Theatre on Ice troupe were using a red "washes out" dye. Both coaches said OK. One was a brunette, the other had white hair. The red washed out of the brunette's hair after a good washing. The one with white hair was seriously pink. She gave up after a week or so and got it fixed at a salon. Don't know why white hair hold the "washes out" color so well.

Yup, that's why I boiled & added vinegar. I wanted it to last as long as possible. I hate how human hair color washes out. It's so damaging, having to redo it all the time sucks. =/

Started on Derrik's wispy, silky 2nds. He has zero crimp, nothing like the long necked sheep fleeces most alpaca breeders aim for. Lol

FINALLY all finished with the 2017 Billy 3 ply yarn! ❤
Had to Navajo ply about half a bobbin to finish.
It just needs a quick hot Dawn bath, rinse and hang to dry!
I wonder how much yarn there is and what I can make from it...hmm.

It's a 3 ply done with one single that basically double backs on itself.
Make a loop, pull yarn through(making a new loop), twist and repeat.
Also called chain plying.
It is also the same safety knot when tying horses.

So kinda the same as a chain stitch? Doesn't that make it sort of lumpy?
