If you put Vaseline or other heavy ointment on a burn that's still warm it can make the burn worse by trapping the heat.Kid 1 went up to grandpa's cabin with grandpa and dad on Friday and stayed the night until Saturday. Saturday morning he got too close to the wood stove pipe and burned his arm just below the elbow. I'm thankful it wasn't too big or bad of a burn, and it wasn't on his face or hands. So far its been healing ok. We've been putting aloe Vera or Vaseline on it but no bandage as we were told it needed to stay dry or it would develop blisters and get worse.
