Glued my shoe back together, probably going to buy new shoes this weekend.

Kid 3 had her 6 month checkup this week, and she rolled over! I had just finished telling the dr that she hadn't rolled yet because she's had less tummy time than her brothers since we don't want her being trampled. The dr enticed her with a toy and she did a complete roll right there. We got her to do it again several times today at my mom's house. We are going to have a roly poly soon, and then we'll be wishing for the days when she stayed where we put her.

Got into the garden Saturday, pulled out some of the zucchini plants that were done, and all the scalloped squash and cucumber. The zucchini got a bit crazy, again. There's still more baby zucchini on the vines I left. They will probably be monsters by the time I get back out there again.

Didn't think to take a picture of the beans. They didn't grow up the trellis like I wanted. Not sure if its the trellis design, or the plants, or I put the trellis up too late? Will try again next year and figure it out better. The fresh bean pods are green, older pods are turning lighter, almost white or cream. Still felt leathery and pliable, so left them on longer. Probably need to check them tonight (Tuesday) or tomorrow as it's supposed to rain Thursday. These are supposed to be dry beans, white, used for soups.

Harvested 2 peppers. Flowers all over half the plants. They are quite confused. Maybe next year I can get them in the ground in time for a proper harvest.

The flowers are happy. Zinnias from a multi color seed pack. I'm going to see if I can save some seeds, not sure if they will be the exact color they were this year, or if each will be different? Need to research zinnias. This is my first year growing them and they are very nice to look at. I also have a marigold that is very happy, need to grab the seeds from that too.

Found more pumpkins growing hidden in the zucchini/pumpkin patch. I cut all the vines after the pumpkins, so hopefully they will finish the existing fruit before trying to keep growing more. There was a frog guarding this pumpkin.

Kid 1 went up to grandpa's cabin with grandpa and dad on Friday and stayed the night until Saturday. Saturday morning he got too close to the wood stove pipe and burned his arm just below the elbow. I'm thankful it wasn't too big or bad of a burn, and it wasn't on his face or hands. So far its been healing ok. We've been putting aloe Vera or Vaseline on it but no bandage as we were told it needed to stay dry or it would develop blisters and get worse.

If you put Vaseline or other heavy ointment on a burn that's still warm it can make the burn worse by trapping the heat.

I suspect it's probably cool by now since it's been three days.

Put honey on a burn and it will heal right up. It’s ok to put a gauze over it.
