Haven't made any more progress on the garden bed, maybe tonight I can work on it.

Hubby and in-laws drove straight home from Kansas, trading off drivers. They left Monday morning and got home this morning. Hubby is tired but will have to watch kid 1. I think he somehow thinks I'm on vacation just because he is? Frustrating.

Took kid 2 to my mom's; she is going to help watch him while I work. It's getting down to final days, I scheduled for my leave to start on the 28th, so I need to get all my accounts cleaned up and notes for the people who are covering for me. I'm very grateful I can work remotely. I met the quota for financials this month before the due date, so I should be getting a bonus! I'm pretty excited. First time I've been able to reach it.

I've seen droppings around the rabbit zone, either a rat or ground squirrel. I put out one of the rat traps on Sunday and found a mid size rat this morning! Reset the trap, we'll see if there's more than one.

We did lots today! We were helped by our friends who are staying with us for a week or so before they move out of state. They are going to move to Pennsylvania. We moved the former compost pile, the big dirt pile, and hubby weed eated most of the garden. He did zap a few of the water lines but we were able to fix them fairly easily.

When we moved the compost pile, we found two baby potatoes. Kid 1 is excited to eat them.

Yes, very happy!! We are going to borrow my brother's tiller because it works better than ours, and till up a big area. Then I can get the squash and melons started, plus have rows to put a bunch of the transplants I started in the greenhouse.

I'm hoping to get the raised bed put in tomorrow, so the grapes can be happy. We are still going back and forth as to whether we should do the beds 3 or 4 feet wide. They will be accessible from both sides, so I'm leaning towards 4 feet wide, but only 3 feet for the bed portion that will be up against the garden fence.
