We are at $3800 and it doesn't cover wind damage. Which is why the previous owners took out 13 fir trees illegally, got fined, but who cares when a tree(s) can fall on your 1973 home. We are on a slope of a hill with massive trees above us, but only their tops can reach us now.
Fined for cutting trees illegally???? I'm glad I'm in Texas, my land, my trees, I can do what the heck I want to. There are places that have HOA's with their rules. Hooray for the people that live there, I'd probably go on a rampage if I had to ask if it was ok to paint my front door yellow or something equally stupid. I just have this REMEMBER THE ALAMO kind of attitude. Yes, Texans have swagger and lots of attitude, we are born with it in our DNA.

It's not just Texans, there are quite a few of us FO people around. But we do admire Texans who remember the Alamo.

I fell through the floor in the bathroom trying to get kid 1 out of the shower!

He was fine, I had just barely started lifting him up. My back feels a little jolted and my hip feels like it got whacked against the floor when I fell through. Hubby put a piece of plywood over it for now, guess we have a project to work on tonight after work.

Indoor plumbing has been around long enough to have been improved beyond this. I want a big waterproof floor. I have had enough of plastic pipes, and leaky valves, and wax gaskets.

And rotting floors.

I was born in Texas and lived there three different times. Do I have FO in my blood?
Maybe?
:D =D
I was born up north, lived in Connecticut for 20 years. My FO attitude developed after I'd moved to the Carolinas. I also didn't learn to shoot until I settled in NC.

Hubby says the particle board is just gone in that area. So that part of the floor was just the vinyl flooring, no wonder it was squishy when stepped on. I'm worried what we are going to find when we start opening things up. We might just put the plywood over the hole and do the master bathroom first.
